  • This is trash compared to Fighting Gravity

  • These niggas need to drink some milk to help build their bones... they legs are so freakin skinny

  • Comment removed

  • This is fake! The legs aren't real! If you concentrate on it, the legs are thin on the top part.

  • THAT WAS DOPE!

  • Hahaha this is bad asx how do u do it so perfectly...??

  • its the kkk crew damn thier good tho

  • dat is sick!!!!! how u guys did it?!?!?!

  • fighting gravity owes everything to these guys, but screw it, they do it a hell of a lot better

  • amazing. not as good as FG but still amazing

  • Excuse me, but i like very much your dance, and I'd like to make more or less the same for my school's show on march. I live in Belgium. Can you tell me the title of this song please? It would be very nice.

  • What is the name of this song, or where can i get it?

  • @mherman14 the song is call smack my bitch up by the prodigy very easy to find

  • this is fighting gravity. they used to be called freedom's lights and they were a show for the partially blind.

  • 2 words:

    Expression Crew :P

  • While Gravity is definitely amazing, you guys have some very slick moves and sweet choreography in this perforamce, especially when you make the balls balance on your hands and roll off them, and when you slide sideways.

Freedom's Lights and Fighting Gravity need to team up in Vegas! Your shows would be so stinkin' awesome with that many people and you'd have tons of great ideas. Do it!!! You deserve it.

  • was jus ok!!

  • If I were a member of this group, I'd be a little angry another group copied my idea so closely and will likely make a good profit on it.

  • copyright infringement of WHOEVER created this.. meanwhile, I just saw Fighting Gravity for the first time on AGT and it looks like they completely, COMPLETELY ripped this act! Don't know who created it, but it is tremendously creative and cool.. nobody likes a copycat, but they did do a good job, BOTH GROUPS.. But why copy the act soooo closely? yes, FG did a good job,but copying and "biting" requires NO CREATIVITY, and creativity is genius...Good job FG, but a little embarrassed for you now.

  • not bad at all !!

  • i dont believe that this was in 2006 im sorry

  • o_o just epic...

  • woooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwWWWWWWWWWWW

  • thats bad very bad ...

  • If Fighting Gravity had more time I bet they could do more amazing tricks. I think the movement of the balls here was incredibly cool and realistic, and FG needs to do more stuff like that. Both of you groups have great stuff!

  • u can tell tht the legs are obviously fake or these guys have so major chicken legs

  • Comment removed

  • @BluePhoenix343 actually, this is the video they got their idea for the anchorsplash performance in the first place. Freedom definitely did it first guys.

  • @BluePhoenix343 If my memory serves me correctly, this act was performed in 2005, and again in 2006. Both took place in Chinese Bible Study/Asian American Campus Ministry talent shows at the University of Texas at Austin. It's a shame that Fighting Gravity doesn't properly credit the actual group that conceived the act on national television.

  • @BluePhoenix343 You win the september fail award....

  • Do I like Fighting Gravity better? Yes. Did they get the concept from these guys and refine it? Yes. And there's nothing wrong with that. My drawing professor once told me that 'no art exists in a vacuum'. Everything in art has influence somewhere. These guys should be commended for coming up with the idea while Fighting Gravity should be commended for taking it and running with it.

  • I like Fighting Gravity quite a bit, thought it was a very unique idea - until I saw this. I do think they refined it, and thought of entering it into the contest, but people below that have commented, use common sense - they may never have thought of it if it wasn't for this original group who pulled this off with limited resources years earlier. Great job guys!

  • major points off for not being their legs being props. You can see that easily.

  • how the hell do they do that it amazing :O

  • the coolest thing i have ever seen

  • its a very nice

  • cant get enough of this act...im not goin to vegas until i know i can see these guys at a show! rock on guys, good luck to you

  • Fighting gravity does it better. They have my vote for the rest of the show.

  • @JFrance1021 I agree with you. This is kind of boring

  • @JFrance1021 Of course fighting gravity is better. We did this 4 years ago with college student budgets. And college student prep time.

  • @vingmedia Ok, so they look it and made it into something big. Why all the hate? Yeah these guys did it first but never did anything with it beyond this point. Their loss. FG FTW.

  • the legs are so fake they could have made it real somehow. anyway the routine is great but the way they executed their act isnt...

  • I really don't care if fighting gravity copied these people or not they didn't neccessarily copy the whole routine if this isn't them to begin with and who's on AGT not the people they copied from.

  • LOL at the end of the song. "SMACK MY BITCH UP"

  • legs shouldve been stuffed

  • I LOVE FIGHTING GRAVITY...BUT if this was them it says 2006 on the vid why did they wait so long to go on AGT and they seem better in this vid then AGT plus FG are fraternity bros they wouldn't all still be there since 2006. So I can't believe this is them.

  • @StephanieAnnAnderson that's b/c this isn't fighting gravity. This is the group that fighting gravity copied to get on AGT.

  • @StephanieAnnAnderson that's b/c this isn't fighting gravity. This is the group that fighting gravity copied to get on AGT.

  • lol..the legs.

  • HAHA this is fighting gravity. This was before they went on AGT

  • @connorphotos This was not fighting gravity. We were students 4 years ago at the University of Texas. Completely different group

  • @connorphotos No its not fighting Gravity Its Freedom's Lights

  • is this the fighting gravity people? or different?

  • i like it but is there fake legs that they standing on??

  • @favre4jet yeh, legs are definitely fake

  • Comment removed

  • Fighting Gravity is lame... completely obvious copy of this.

  • @robbiez777 These are the same people. I guess you could say they copied themselves...no, that makes no sense

  • @robbiez777 assmouth this is the same Fraternity that brought you Fighting Gravity, Pi Kappa Alpha.

    -In ppka from Phi chapter

  • they've got very thin legs, lol

  • I'd bet money that fighting gravity will do that floating yogi thing in their next routine.

  • @troyal77 Give this man a thumbs up. He predicted this 2 months ago and thats exactly what happened. Man i gotta take you to the races with me sometime :D

  • fighting gravity is better

  • FG from AGT has stated on their website they have received inspiration from groups such as this. They did take bits and pieces from this obviously. FG's was just more polished and went out there and did something. Both are great but FG's is just more polished probably because they worked more on it.

  • God damn!

  • pikes and freedom did a great job :)

  • @vingmedia - please post the 2004 one!

  • @robjwu are you in town? Do you want to borrow the DVD from me and you can post it? I don't have m computer set up right now to do it.

  • just fyi everyone, Fighting Gravity and AACM Freedom are NOT the same group.

  • For everyone who said Fighting Gravity is better: I would have to agree. But try to keep in mind we had to choreograph this in about 3 weeks, and they had about 3 years from this performance to perfect their version. If I could do it again I would make some changes too. Those legs were made from a trip to walmart at 2 AM and a hot glue gun haha.

  • @onephathorse were you part of this group?

  • @gojacketsgo61 Yeah I choreographed Freedom '06, '04, and '03, and that's me on the right.

  • @onephathorse Nice, it was really good for only 3 weeks of work. With more time it would of been better than FG, you both are great groups though.

  • @gojacketsgo61 Thanks! I'm really happy with it because it was just a fun idea that got thrown together - definitely one of the best times of my life working with that group. I'm pretty proud now that's sparked more attention via Fighting Gravity.

  • @onephathorse FG is better but just stick to it and you'll def improve. Theres alot of youtube clips of people/groups doing what FG does and failing badly and i think you guys where better than alot of the other people impersinating.

  • how exactly do they float?!

  • @starlogic99

they dont. they wear black pants so u dont see their real legs, and put on another set of whit pants attached to them. inside the white ones are fake pants, that the other crew members in all black move around with strings or sticks or something. kinda like a puppet

  • who cares, gravity perfected it

  • As a pike from VT i can say that we didnt try to rip anyone off. We originally used this as an act at a philanthropic talent show. All fraternities and sororities use already made up shit in these types of events so we did nothing wrong. Its just the fact that when freedom did it it was a little ahead of its time and our routine got more exposure. Freedom does deserve the credit for the original idea but we are changing things up and adding more tricks to the act.

  • @kwrig06 were you in AGT ?

  • Who cares?! These guys invented it, Fighting gravity perfected it!

  • @TheZooDork These guys didn't invent shit the Japanese have been doing this for years and they do it way better.

  • @TheZooDork This is Fighting Gravity, they just changed their name.

  • @TheZooDork actually expressions crew from korea invented and perfected this

    just saying :]

  • This sucked. They didn't even make it realistic. I mean I know the legs are fake and that's how they do this whole show but they didn't even try to make the legs look real.

  • ahh brings back memories...=] anyone have our video from 2004 when jeffma first came up with this crazy idea?!

  • @chumonster I have all the past videos. I should have 2004

  • this sucked

  • Must be flying Yogis

  • this was completely ripped off by the pikes at VT. they literally jacked 95% of the entire routine, including the concept, choreography, as well as the SONG that everyone says was a bad choice. they were featured on kanye west's blog as well. now they are on america's got talent, and because they got a lot of heat for stealing and biting from aacm's freedom group, they changed up the song and changed up alot of the choreography, which in my opinion sucks and requires a whole lot less talent.

  • i think it might be the same guys, but they added more guys and used a different name for americas got talent

  • this might have been those guys?? but probably not lol

  • Oh wow, that really sucks that Fighting Gravity totally ripped them off. I wonder if the shows producers have seen this yet.

  • @manboy1

Fighting Gravity didn't rip them off. They never said it was their idea, tons of other people do this, they just decided to show it off :P

  • @PianoAnna1206 this is Fighting Gravity lol. Different name.

  • @Ballindian

Oh well in that case, they can't rip their own selves off T:

  • hope they make it to Vegas as I would pay to see them. Though Blue MAn Group is better I would still go see them as well.

  • Truthfully i prefer Fighting gravity because they were much smoother and there song choice was better suited to the act but still kudos to these guys for starting the trend, its simply amazing to watch.

  • they didn't start this trend. Japanese have been doing this for decades. Look up "Kasou Taishou".

  • @Shipuh completely different, Kasou made it a point to show the "hidden" members in black so everyone in the audience could see how they did it

  • Kasou never once made it a -point- to see how the acts were done. Many of the acts on the show aren't so intricate, and don't have people dressed in black. Their not going to turn off the lights on their stage. The show simply evolved into most of the modern acts making these kinds of illusions.

This group still did not start the trend. Broadway musical PIPPIN used stage masking effects in Magic To Do on Broadway back in the 70s, and before greenscreen Jim Henson rotoscoped in the same concept.

  • it is what it is

  • Compared to Fighting Gravity yes almost exact. minus the puppeteer up top. Music maybe was the problem, or they were just ahead of their time. Fact is fighting gravity is in the spot light now. Personally i say the music wasn't right.

  • @Amatsuteufel yea i think that the music in fighting gravity's performance made a lot more since for this type of performance but still fighting grvity did a lot of hard work and practice to get where they are now and im sure that they will have a whole new performance in vegas i cant wait!

  • I am sorry that you guys got ripped off on Americas got talent...you deserve the credit

  • this is a posting of an old video from 2006.
