Did you know we are the 1st country EVER who achieved victory against the Axis forces in 1940..You joined the war in europe in 1944 so the communist did the job.

@FarFallen1 the reason why the iraqis weren't able to fight in desert storm isn't because of technology, their tank crews were poorly trained, they lack GPS to fully locate coalition forces and navigate deserts, and they had their left flank completely undefended because of the large arid sand desert which completely made them lost if they attempt to go in. So really, if Russia was in the picture, it would be a totally different story....

@visiblechunk US military spending is more than Russia, China, and all of NATO combined. Its important to respect your enimies, but also to look at facts. The USA could take on All of Europe, let alone just Russia. USA didn't interfere with the Russia/Georgia conflict to avoid diplomatic strain between Russia and the US, but to say it is because the USA is weak is a twisted and ignorant way of looking at it. Saying Russia could take on the USA is like saying a mouse could take on a house cat.

As for you assertion that our military is "even matched", from the Defense reports I have read, it just does not bear true. Russia is still playing catch-up to our technologically advanced equipment which at this point can pretty well own the battlefield.

No the anthem was created inby the Bolshevik party, and was at first the song of the Bolshevik movement, but is still used in modern Russia, be it with other lyrics.
However I can hear the words "Partia Lenina" which means "Party of Lenin", a phrase only used in the USSR version of the anthem.
