@xKJx25 of course it is, I have the piece, 116 for every beat, 2/4 or other wise 2 beats per measure, and in each measure for the right hand, there is sixteen notes, or the double dashed triplet notes, not single dashed, double dashed. That's faster then the sixteenth note, but slower then the thirty second notes. 16th notes have 4 per beat, 32nd 8 per beat, double dashed triplet notes 6 per beat. I learned this song incorrectly, but my teacher's gonna teach me again after chopin's min waltz. :D
Fantastic mate, I'd played almost 3 years ago... now I want to "restore" it to perfect condition again... you gave me all the courage required to do so.
You are talented, keep up the great work - impressed.
i think you are amazing and that i could never play ever like you but i have to admit its so perfect and it has like no emotion... i felt like i was listening to like an iPad piano or something. if you hear Lang Lang play this i would probably like feel it ya know?? i totally think your amazing tho.
Very maturely played. Usually when I see someone of your age play this, they muddle through it harshly, without the though of how it should be nice and light in the right hand for the majority of the piece. Well Done.
Dear Derek, HOW DID YOU DO THIS WITH 6 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE?! I have 6 years, and I can only play Beethoven's Sonata No 8 "Pathetique" ! You have tons of talent! :)
very nice indeed! you have a very good way of unique interpretation, which is essential for becoming a great performer... i wish you the best of luck, i hope you make your way!
Dear Derek, I must say that I admire you so much. I do love the way you interpret this piece. It touches my heart every time I listen to. Thanks for sharing with us. I always appreciate your talent.
Derek, I think you don't have anything to envy from Lang Lang or any of the great pianists! This interpretation is amazing, I'd love t see you playing the Tchaikovsky piano concerto!
I've seen a lot of young children try to play something awesome and get rated high on Youtube for it, while sucking incredibly, but you're the first one I've seen to actually play musically at this age.
Oh, and the left hand sounds a bit dry to me, consider using some pedal on it?
For your young age, this is a brilliant performance...I'd take a look at the Paderewski edition of the etudes...there's a lot of interesting ideas in there...
You could play your Left Hand a bit heavier in some laces like: 00:28 - 00:39. It would sound a lot better! :) 5 Stars! We love to hear you post some more Chopin Etudes!
I want your mad piano skills

Is it really meant to be played at that speed?
don't get me wrong, you're freaking talented but, it's like at this speed, the piece is hard to enjoy.
