Just a few weeks ago, I learned the hard way that regardless of how well-trained a bird is, the unthinkable can happen. I can't count how many times we'd taken my Sun-Jenday conure outdoors- without incident- and all it it took was one time of him getting spooked at an empty school soccer field to almost cause tragedy. He got spooked and spent 27 hours in the woods...it's amazing he survived such a cold, wet Alaskan night.
Conures are such smart and loving birds. Sonic loves to go outside to get fresh air and stretch his wings but we never leave him unattended. He loves to just sit on our shoulder and watch us garden.
@nana2226 Yes they are! They are great and amazing i'm having trouble finding a Green cheek conure i feel so happy for you that you have one. Do you know where i can find these parrots?
You dont even have a conure. You're real stupid. When they make attachments, like this one in the video, it can tell the difference between you and other people, and comes back to only its LOVING master, which is apparently the account owner that posted this video. I have to point out that you are stupid about birds, because Green Cheeked conures are s3xy and smart.
It is excellent that she/he trust you so much that she returns outside. Our Senegal is clipped and I take her out in the summer, but never leave her alone! A Coopers hawk or Sharp shinned or cat would have her in heart beat!

@thejordanriggs
Wow, good to hear he survived though. Yeah, I don't think I'm going to bring mine outside unless his wings are clipped or he gets a harness.
