ok any fans for "The Last Airbender" Drizzt and Zuko have like the same story, almost. both dual scimators, both have to take on a huge change. for Drizzt was leaving his home town and into the underdark, and for Zuko he had to aid the avitor. soo ya, i think the charater Zuko was based off of Drizzt.

Ugh... I swear, When this movie comes out they had better not ruin the movie like they did in Eragon. I will be on a mission of murder. I have closely followed this series and it would destroy my heart if they destroy this book because some pampas ass movie director thinks he has a better vision of what the book is supposed to be. Not staying true would be disastrous.

So far I've read just about all the books on Drizzt...my favorites was the when the Drow entered into the Dwarven kingdom, nothing but war and Thousand Orcs...again...total war. The others are very good as well...especially when Artemis is around.

This will be a FIRE movie!! OK-Drizzt is 1 or our favorite characters but come on!!! lol He's a 16th level Ranger/Rogue, melee class; going up against a level 30 mage! Irenicus share's the rank of Halaster Blackcloak; both are higher level than Elminster(discounting El's chosen status for argument). In game, I've DUSTED 16th level fighters with 10-12 level Mage-untouched! Drizzt barely survived Enterei and Jaraxle! His group stands a chance if they bring the Spider Queens favor and all CRITS!

Too funny! I've wondered: It would appear that Zaknafein died either faithless or false, as the books make no mention of any god he followed, save for his hatred of Lolth. Wouldn't this place him in a pretty bad situation after death? When he came back as a wraith and fought Drizzt, he mentioned that he was indeed dead, but at peace. Maybe the elven pantheon goes by different rules, but in the human world, being faithless or false would mean the Kelemvor would have his ass.

He was always there with advice and how he just steps into shadows and pops up behind you before you ever know is the greatest ability of any Drow. Plus his kukris are awesome weapons. Have you seen the Diablo 2 cinematics? Those are equal to cinematics produced today, only they were made 10 years ago, which is a long time in game history.

And fine, WoW sucks (even though it revolutionized mmos), but the warcraft RTS games paved the way for every RTS game made after, it is a landmark.

It would be amazing if they made this a movie but my only fear is that the director would either change it too much from the book or that the effects would be lacking. I mean, Guenwyhvar (excuse my spelling) is huge in the books so the effects best be impressive to fully express her individuality and her character. Also, I personally doubt they could recreate Menzobarranzan (again, please excuse my spelling) in all its beauty. Amazing idea but how do you make something like this a visual?

@SolarEclipse1897 Menzobarranzan was already visually realized in Baldurs Gate 2 and it looked much like I imagined it...but there are some several other problems with the movie like the very special drow view(which is completely missing in the comics and takes much from the atmosphere) the problem of the time which is needed to explain drow philosophy and so and so on...last but not least...who would be a good drizzt??? I dont knwo who I would chose...

Which is kind of why it couldn't become a good movie unless you had read the books. All the description and explanation implemented into the book cannot be transferred to a visual as you said but if that was skipped, then readers would understand. As for Drizzt, another reason to never make a movie. Drizzt is a character within himself and no actor I can think of can portray his personality the way Salvatore does. By drow view, do you mean the infrared spectrum?

I feel like CGI would probably be the best option for a movie for this series. Although, no movie'd probably be best. However, I think a video game with these guys would be great. Something like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance style. You start off in Menzoberranzan and work your way up. 4 player co-op'd be a must. If the designers really thought it out, it could be one of the best "D&D" games ever.
