  • fine natural voice, but if he's going to be in the business, he has to learn how to sell a song. Listen to Lanza's version. Do you think there would have been audience chatter if he were singing? weak delivery, and poor pronunciation of "now" and "you".

  • Why are there dislikes on this video?

  • omg i love him hes so talented!

  • He really needed the girl playing "Liat" to sing this song to. This standalone singing doesn't work out of the character's context of romance.

  • FOLKS!! TAKE A LOOK MANDY PATINKIN, SINING THIS SONG- ITS LEAVER ALL THOSE A WAY BEHING!! Mandy got a whole much more passion for that song.

  • @hurumummo OMG YES. O_O Mandy is so much better than everyone. He is one great legit tenor.

  • Fabulous!

  • This is as lovely a performance of this song as any I have ever heard. Can anyone PLEASE tell me if Mr. Samonsky's verson is available on a cd?

  • I hope he's straight...

    :)

  • Saw him in the show earlier this year and his acting was laughable. He was a complete joke. He seemed like he was trying to be Ace Ventura. He has a nice voice, but I would not pay to see him again.

  • Only In NYC are you privelaged to see and experience the best theater opera and symphony has to offer ---and often for free! Thanks for the video

  • when did Andrew take over the Joe Cable role from Mathew Morrison? I assume shortly before this--- I saw him on PBS a few nights back and he was excellent in this scene as well as in the "My Girl Back Home" scene ---- Bravo!!!

  • He's still pretty hot...

  • I will say his dramatic acting was great though.

  • No...he's no Matt. And Matt rocks this song better....

  • Sad to say but....better than Matthew Morrison!!! He's amazing!!!

  • Andrew is an incredible talent. I saw him at Lincoln Theater in DC performing in Shenandoah with Scott Bakula before I saw him on broadway in South Pacific. He was incredible in both performances. Way to go Andrew!

  • I meant Ford's Theater...my bad.

  • He was created to play Lt. Cable...no other nails it like he does.

He's got the voice and that "boy next door" look that could charm the drawers off men and women alike.

This kid is destined for greatness.

  • He is the best Joe Cable EVER!!! Just watched him in South Pacific broadcast. He not only has a beautiful beautiful voice but, gosh, he is such a skilled and effective actor. I will totally pay $80 or more to see him in any show.

P.S. He has a gorgeous body too. That doesn't matter that much but is absolutely a plus!

  • Wow! Is there a woman alive that wouldn't want this man singing this song to her.

  • Saw him again for the second time on South Pacific Sat matinee show, he has a great voice.

  • great vid, thanks for sharing

  • just saw him in south pacific yesterday, he was great!!! i saw him when back when on the disney's on the record tour =)

  • hey andrew if you see this ...glad to see you made it to broadway. i remember seeing you in tick tick boom in Los Angeles like 4 years ago. you're such an awesome talent!

  • he's really nice also, i waited stage door and everyone was so gracious...laura osnes in particular.

and omg laurisa romain and luka kain (the two kids) are such sweethearts

  • I like just saw it about 2 weeks ago and the whole show I kept staring at him! He is so talented and gorgeous!!

  • omg his voice! like an angel!

  • great voice:]

  • I was there last night too! This guy is amazing

  • I just saw South Pacific on broadway yesterday and we were sitting pretty close to the stage and this man is freakin' gorgeous!!! He has a kickass body too!
