The Church that is built on Christ is one foundation, whether u like the drums, cymbals, stringed instrument or the organ. Just keep on praising God........'the gates of hell shall not prevail'
Tullian is a truly great preacher. We visit the church every time we are in Ft. Lauderdale on vacation and find it a joyful and uplifting experience. What a wonderful change it is from listening to our minister, who constantly inserts references to her pet dog into her Sunday sermons. You don't know how lucky you are to have Tullian.
I wish the two congregations would swap places so that the sanctuary/organ could be used as intended once again. Nothing makes me more annoyed than to see a pipe organ of that caliber being played alongside drums and guitars. His head-knodding minion in the background of this video is hilarious!
What this man has done to that church makes me sick. It's a shame he didn't get his divine "attitude correction" until after he had already torn the place apart. So sad
Yes, some people left, but some of them have come back. Also, the church is growing and has been packed full many services since the split. A church splitting is not necessarily a bad thing. God had new plans for CRPC. God also cleaned house! Amen!
@cadillacgregg Some people have left, and some people have gone back...but many continue to trickle out...especially his own people. When you take the TWO services that were nearly full each Sunday prior to Tullian's arrival and then consolidate them into ONE nearly full service, that's not growth my friend. That IS NOT growth. How do you figure a church split is not a bad thing? Give me scripture. God cleaned house? No, Tullian cleaned house...God allowed it to happen.
@mchodson1 So where in the gospel does it encourage lying? And by the way, that gospel message means nothing if the words aren't backed up with actions. Tullian = fail.
God called Tullian to CRPC!!! Tullian preaches the WORD and some folks didn't like that. Therefore God cleaned house!!! Aren't the same people complaining about Tullian some of the same ones on the pastor search committee. Didn't they pray, didn't they seek God for His man??? What's wrong, didn't you like God's answer, His Choice???
@cadillacgregg No one is arguing whether God called Tullian to CRPC or not. As reformed Presbyterians, don't we believe in God's sovereignty in all things? However God still uses the wicked and their sins to carry out His will. But that doesn't give the sinner a pass. The bible talks about leaders in the church being above reproach. Yes, everyone's a sinner (which is a defense argument by Tullian supporters), but the bible also says they are held to a higher standard then everyone else.
@cadillacgregg Tullian is not above reproach in more ways then youtube would allow me to list. I supposed we could add the fact he was stealing power from his neighbors. This man has made no concessions and everyone else is to blame but him. Scott Spell, Brandon Wells, two of his own people who cared out his wishes he blamed and fired after people got upset taking no credit for what he asked them to do.I'd also mention that at least half, maybe more from his original church already left CRPC.
You fool. Coral Ridge wasn't a dying church...your own statistics presented at a town hall meeting showed Coral Ridge on a steady increase in attendance prior to your arrival. Dying? Hardly. I'd be surprised if any intelligent person didn't think you're out of your mind for taking credit in "planting" another church. That reconciliation you whole heartedly believe in and speak about...yeah where was that when you told everyone that if they didn't like it, they should leave? Hmm, yeah.
I remember the amount of people who would show up for services. It was empty and dying. I went this past Sunday... it looked pretty full to me.
