I want to welcome viewers from APTN news ,and encourage all to send feedback . My goal is to encourage and support a meanigful discussion. I hope to challenge the Fault Based Model ,and expose the blame. LIFESTYLE ,UNHEALTHY EATING,LACK OF WILLPOWER are all forms of the FAULT BASED MODEL. Lets expand our lens and be open to the complex factors .
AGAINST OBESITY BUT NOT AGAINST OBESE PEOPLE.. This is our health crisis ,and I welcome your ideas and feedback.
I am fat. I suppose it is hereditary. Everyday, every second, ALL I think about is how I want to be skinny (or at least thin). It has been an ongoing obsession even when I was "thin." My body image has prevented me from doing all the fun things I would like to be doing. I never meant to get fat. I have no metabolism, and food is a comfort. Thanks for talking about this issue. I hope thin people will wake up and see that nobody wants to be fat and it is NOT okay to discriminate.
Personal accountability, lack of willpower, lifestyle and unhealthy eating. These are samples from the FAULT BASED MODEL to address OBESITY. I have been waiting for a discussion with Health Canada for far too long ,and I am going to push forward with my efforts. The effort is so very basic and based on a round table discussion on OBESITY. What are we not discussing ? Why is it so critical to guide this discussion toward the individual?
This is information ,and anyone is welcomed to review this material and decide if it has any value. Can you explain the plan that our government has? What steps need to be taken ? Where do I go for help? How do I begin to change my eating manners? Who do I seek out if I am using foods to self medicate? Is there a screening process currently used by health agencies to address my food marriage ? Is it okay to discriminate against obese people? Is lifestyle a blaming tool? E.L.M.M.
I want to thank the Fort Frances Times newspaper . Despite reaching out to many newspapers all over the world ,they were the only to express a serious interest in my efforts to expose this issue. OBESITY IS A BY PRODUCT,AND I URGE YOU VISIT MY CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE TO SEE ALL 4 VIDEOS . LETS BUILD A CHAIN OF CHANGE ,AND ANCHOR THIS IDEA WITH SUPPORT AND DIGNITY. Thanks to the Fort Frances Times an OBESE person has been provided with a chance to speak on this issue. Paul
I saw you at LU today.Interesting how men have a problem with consumming too much....I am a woman who has the opposite problem, thinking that I am eating too much, when I am really not eating enough. SMSC has treatment through the same program for this too....I am glad it was helpful to you:) But my only response is that this treatment is not for everyone and some people are treated in different ways :) ]
Great video! I can totally relate; I too need to go overboard on everything I do and am going through a reprogramming stage in therapy. Good luck and I wish you all the best on your journey!
edna again. also im about to have gastric bypass, im on a diet now. about 1 week. ive been eating healthy foods. and its hard. especially. being at home. and watching tv. i still want those cookies.cakes.candy......
hi i believe im a bindge eater. at times i would buy cookies, cakes, candy. eat them especially when im off work. but when im at work i bearly, eat these things. it seems the cycle is more when i watch tv. am i a bindge eater.

I needed to expose this for what it is ,an illness. If we identify food a as a substance ,we then can create a new working model. Blaming obese people fails to inspire us . I had to build a healthy marriage with foods, all foods. I used foods to mood alter and I then used foods to self hate. Lets encourage ourselves ,and find ways to support small changes . Food has been allowed to hide from the notion of substances, and once identified I suggest we can rebuild a new plan for HEALTH.
I know exactly what you are talking about. And sadly it isn't just men. I didn't seek counselling, I went to the gym and got a personal trainer who helped me start eating the right foods in the right amounts and use exercise to release the endorphines and trigger the good feelings that would happen when I ate. It may not be the best road for everyone but it works for me. And it really is SUCH an individual journey. Nobody's is going to be exactly the same.
I am about in tears here because the way he talk here, it's like the exact words out of my mouth. Cat caught my tongue. Whoever is in this video, I am so proud of him for getting help. Courageous soul... he is. I am getting help as well. Recovery is worth it. It's work but really worth it.
Please visit my channel to view the other materials I have put together. The BLAME model needs to be challenged, and I urge you to help to create the chain of change. Thanks Paul
Please send feedback so that I can respond to you personally. Should you need to send a private note simply visit my channel @ smurfp4444. Looking forward to responding directly to any poster. Thanks Paul
I really like this documentary... it's very candid and yet humble. Not too understated, but not too blown out of proportion, either, like so many of the sensationalistic documentaries out there. I can't wait to see the final product.
Lets build a CHAIN OF CHANGE and become fully alertabout foods as a substance. Therefore,we can create a plan of INSPIRATION. ALL FOODS IN BALANCE . GUILT FREE EATING.
Thanks for sharing your story and courage to speak out on this issue. It's so true to have balance in one's life; some overeat, others undereat. Great to share the information and resources that are out there for help with eating disorders. Take care.
i think that this video really gets the message across: obesity is a problem and needs to be dealt with (nothing against obese people. they need help and support.)
Great job Paul. Your courage in putting yourself out there is inspirational and should be extreemly helpful to anyone trying to cope with a complicated life. Jack
Thank you for posting this. Through my videos I have been trying to help solve the obesity epidemic that is engulfing the world. I'm glad that I am not the only one who is trying to solve this problem.
I think this was great. It's great that someone is willing to do this to draw attention to the issue. And I agree, men do seem to have a harder time getting help.
I have been meaning to have a look at your documentary. Thanks for the reminder. I am very impressed with your honesty and courage in sharing such a personal problem so others can benefit-as the doctor comments, it isn't about food but rather about other very complicated problems. Keep up the great work!
Being female, and seeing a simple poster saying Obesity Thunder Bay: Watch it on YouTube, I was curious. I like the focus on men in this documentary. The one thing that I am not too fond of is how a lot of people say it's hard to lose weight; we have to fight obesity. What it boils down to is belief. If you believe it's hard to lose weight, it will be. I would suggest PSYCH-K to anyone who believes negatively about something. Change your belief to "it is easy to lose weight!"
Obesity is a by product.I used foodrug to numb out ,and then self hate .I ate until I was in severe pain, and never understood what"sated " was. SHAME AND BLAME FOR PROFIT. That model needs to be challenged.

great documentary Paul words cannot describe how helpful I think this will be to people with this problem its just to bad you didn't get this out sooner
Wow..it make's you wonder how many men are affected by this in our Society. Our environment pushes us all in this direction. Big Food is quite happy to see us as addicts. Just waite for Super Bowl Sunday and watch the ad's. If we ate what we're shown, and many do, no wonder there is such an issue with Obesity within our Society.
I have the same condition of this man. It is so bad that I am now up to about 520 lbs. I need to fix it.
