British people died fighting fascism in the second world wat, they will never accept it by stealth. The BNP is a fascist party, and it used to at least have the decency to say so. However it is so gutless it hides behind lies and exploits peoples fears. A shallow gutless bunch of vile evil racists.

this was more a compromise. if unionism understood that word and gave catholics jobs in the 60's there wouldn't of been any troubles are much talk of a united ireland in the first place. unionism created support in the catholic areas for the IRA because of their stubbornness and stupid polices.
Would you let a military dicatotrship that killed tens of thousands in South America have a say on it? As bad as the IRA are, they don't touch the Junta.
those are 2 different things...... thatcher was stuck with the irish policy.... because of previous govts.... at least she began steps towards the peace process
At least there is peace in all Ireland now, We owe all our thanks to all the Politicians in Northern Ireland to former Prime Minister's Sir John Major and Sir Anthony Blair also the former Irish Taoiseach Albert Reynolds and current Taoiseach Bertie Ahern for bring peace to the province.
There are no bombs going of in Britain, no British Soldiers being killed, how ever the outrageous scenes last weekend show that their is still sectarianism.
As usual the unionist below thinks he knows everything. The british think they can do whatever they want by invading countries. They told their people lies by invading Iraq on the terms that Iraq had "weapons of mass destruction" and now they can only blame themselves that most of Europe hate Britain and they have lost their old war time allies like France.
As much as I hate Thatcher she stood up to those IRA terrorists, however thanks to Tony Blair, Mo Mowlam, Peter Hain and Bertie Ahern the situation has now changed dramatically.

Listen Scouser boy, why do you think they wanted to kill Brits? You may yawn at the news that in this country one can be shot in the back for simply demonstrating against the government.
Why don't you people go and live in Russia? They do that kind of stuff all the time. You are the reason we are hated throughout the world. You and your nazi mates!
@GeeGee3374 as a irish man ....no i am not proud of that .......are u proud of the 800 years of tyranny in my country...bloody sunday is only a fraction of the murder your country commited in ireland....again course it was totaly wrong warrington ...it made me sick
b) Having fought the Brits and the Prods you are now giving up Ireland to Mohammedans, Somalis and other non-Europeans? AND SINN FEIN ACTIVELY SUPPORT THIS.
Shut up corcman you space cadet. The world would be a much more advanced and peaceful place if british ideas didnt exist. wherever they go they make a balls of everything and then have the audacity to moan about their rights. what about the rights of decent countries? Las Malvinas(falklands) is another example.
You do know that England gave asylum to IRA members who worked for the Brits as spies even though they commited murder?
Martin Hogan, a top IRA volunteer from Derry, was given a large lump sum of money and a house in England for working with the British Army and the RUC.
I have the utmost respect for Thatcher. But the Anglo-Irish Agreement was a total disgrace. It allowed the Republic to have a say in NI affairs, despite the fact that the Republic had consistently given political asylum to members of the Official/Provisional IRA (who were guilty of muder and other crimes) escaping British extradition. They made no attempt to remove this political asylum, therefore they had no right to become involved in the peace process.
krazyklare94- Yes I despise Thatcher and her policies as well but the IRA murdered innocents during the troubles as well as the RUC, UDA, UFF etc. As in my previous comment no side has "clean hands" in terms of Northern Ireland. The only hope for long term peace is that both communities can live together. I doubt the Protestants will "f*ck off" anytime soon as they have been there for 400 years.
All hands are dirty in the sorry tale of Ireland and Politics. Both Republicans and Loyalists murdered innocents during the troubles and the UK and Irish Governments had a hand in helping insurgents on both sides. Thatcher caused the tensions to rise on both sides by signing this agreement in '85 and allowing the hunger strikers to die in '80 -'81.
