Thanks for the post. Brilliant piece of educational work showing how intricate and complex a modern engine is. It really shouldn't be a screen-saver though it would be far more useful as an interactive demo where you can isolate parts of the engine while its running, zoom in and out at will and change the speed. I'm guessing that's out there.

The only efficent clean fuel is hydrogen, i think we will see a return to nuclear

power stations in the near future.

is a price to pay for cutting down the amazon Rainforest, which builds your eco

just a few facts for you all

this is based on the Ford 2.0 litre Duratec found in the Mondeo Zetec and also badged as an ST engine in the ST Fiesta. Also, it has 150bhp.

And before you start asking how i know it isnt a 2.3, becuase this one has 4 counterweights on the crank whereas the 2.3 has 8.

Well it does look like a Zetec twin cam, NOT Duratec...Duratech was V6. NAd the more I think about it it makes sense..Note the Quadruple Platinum plug..The single OHC ford didnt use that plug but the DOHC Zetec does spec that expensive plug, and I dont recall the 1ZZ_FE toyota ever askin for that style plug. Interesting debate tho guys :)

its a 4 cylinder 4 stroke GAS engine out of something small like one of those suzuki mini suv things, i took one just like it apart in autoclass last year, its probably like a 3 liter engine and i assure your its gasoline powered because anyone who understands combustion theory could tell you that a diesel engine doesnt have spark plugs in it

Unless they're pressed together, and since ford (though technically mazda) was too cheap to even fully counterweight their crankshaft, they're definitely too cheap to use a bushed rod and buttons/clips with a fully floating pin.

a diesel doesn't. A diesel uses glowplugs to heat the inside of the engine on a cold start so the air can get compressed enough to burn the diesel.

Once warm a diesel doesn't need glowplugs.

I have a Deutz D908 and it's a problem with an engine inside.

The DEUTZ engines are the worst in the world. Mechanical Problems, Engineering problems, the company works very badly in the costumer services, they don't answer emails and they are waiting to end of the guarantee to be able to get by with the problem.

Do NOT buy any DEUTZ engines run from problems and avoid paying for expensive engines that are shit.

If you need a Generator buy a low cost one... you will see it's better.
