The verbal stuff doesn't matter, the turning point was when one of the women assaulted him, then both were pursuing him to presumably assault him further. At that point, all bets are off and you go into self defense mode. If you knew anything about self defense, you know that you're supposed to immobilize your attacker BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. Also, he only struck them if they tried to get up, which is the exact opposite of your claim of "viciously kept attacking".
