Valve should have included a "crowbar" difficulty mode where you can only use the crowbar. and then you would have to throw the crowbar at the gunships.

its a GeForce 8800 GTS, but when making the speed run I set the graphics to low to make sure I got the best framerate possible. After I recorded the entire speedrun (into demo files), I played them back in hl2 with the graphics all set to the highest quality.

@lowerlogic You should just record at 30 FPS at 360p since that's all you can see on youtube, and 24 FPS on 480p+ :P
