  • FYI to all the Catholics, the name Yahweh is no longer allowed in the Church. this is because it is the unspokken name of God and we just added letters to be able to use it. they are changing all the song coming 2010 yet they are asking everyone to replace the words now. i know in my Church they use "All God's people" as a replacement in most songs.

  • i learnt this song at HOLYCHILD HIGH SCHOOL and have remembered it all these years. THANKS FOR THE POST.

  • praise to you oh LORD ,,,,I know You never leave me.I need you in my life especially now inthe midst of my sorrows,,,,,Ilove you LoRD....

  • YAHWEH is His name. Use His name, not titles such as Lord, and God. "There is one name under heaven by which men may be saved." That name is YAHWEH. YESHUA is YAHWEH. The devil doesn't people to use His name, and has deceived YAHWEH's people into using titles instead of his name. YAHWEH is salvation. Thanks be to YAHWEH for your beloved son YESHUA, who is one with You and who is YAHWEH! Praise be to YAHWEH!!

  • Love it.

    See you again some day...

  • truly heart warming..

i could listen to it all day.xx

  • songbird886 My life is His miracle of love, mercy and grace. I have nothing to boast about but like Paul, only the cross of my Lord and Savior, my beloved Yeshua, the One who died for me, In the glorious near future, He is coming to take us home, the desire of our hearts should be to reflect His likeness, display His glory, and to declare that His kingdom of grace, love and peace is within our hearts. I have no great success to show and no glory of my ownn

  • songbird886 What a beautiful song, David knew our heavenly Father's Name and had a heart relationship with Him and so do I. My dad died a few years ago and knowing that my Abba is always with me gives me comfort, to know that I am a child of the heavenly King and that someday I will see my King of kings and Lord of lords fills my heart with an unspeakable joy.

  • songbird886 Yahwhe is our heavenly Father's Name and Yeshua is our Savior's Name, our High Priest in heaven, Jesus is His given Name, which most people know. He is also known as Emmanuel-God with us and Michael our Deliverer. I love all of His Names, but more importantly, I love Him because He first loved me and has forgiven me so much.

  • praise lord everyday form now and forever in future. all will return to lord in future

  • Reminds me of my retreat back in high school.. now I'm old, i knew very well that this song is so real..: )

  • sanapalaging ganito ang buhay masaya at maligaya

  • hi sana palaging may naglalagay dito ng worship song or praise song. para ito sa ating kapwa

  • this is my fav hymn of all tym

    god bless

  • Thank you for posting this video, while I am saddened that the the hymn can no longer be sung as it was written I understand and support the reasoning behind the recent decision to refrain from pronouncing YHWH in a liturgical setting. After all the name of God is sacred and should not be invoked lightly.

  • Lord i love u..thank you for my love ones...my children and my beautiful wife....

    Thank you ROGATIONIST

    you have searched my heart....

  • Endtimes are near

  • oh my god i love this song so much i was crying when i heard this song..thank u lord for guiding us

  • You know Yahweh translates into the name Jehova?...i am not preaching,..And i know that it says in the start of the bible, he wants all to know his name, and to say it.. and such...

  • It reminds me my beautiful years, when everybody was by my side.

Now kids off to college, and the like.....

    I miss them dearly.

    God bless them.

  • It is indeed a great song.

  • when i was on the ignatian retreat... i always sing this song for so many times.. while im crying.. sigh! i feel so loved by GOD though im sinful and sorrowful...

  • This song was written by one of the St. Louis Jesuits, Dan Schutte, S.J. This group was a group of Catholic priests in 1974. It was on their 4 - record set titled "Neither Silver Nor Gold". It was published by the then-North American Liturgy Resources.

  • praise the good Lord.. how i love this song it reminds me of my parents we always sing this during bible studies of couples for christ. i always go with them with my siblings and sing this song with the other couples

  • at our church they changed it to Jesus I know you are near. It is hard to remember.

  • I have been singingthis seince kindergarten.

  • praise be to GOD almighty for his son, Jesus Christ.

Praise and Thanks Mother Mary, for giving us a virgin miraclous birth of Jesus.

For Jesus then told his diciple, "Woman, this is your son. Brother, this is your Mother." We as disciple of Christ, see Mother Mary as our mother. PRAISE THE LORD!

  • This song is very close to my heart. I played it as a meditation hymn at my grandfather's funeral mass.

  • They think it's "inappropriate" to call God by his name.

  • Only in Prayer do i feel it to be appropriate

  • A good response would be that you have to know His Name to be able to call upon it.

  • It's sad that Vatican Council said that "Yahweh" is no not allowed in hymns of worship in churches. The composer of this hymn changed the "Yahweh" part to "O Lord I know you are near".

  • Really? When did this happen? I am Catholic, and just last year we sang this in church.

  • I was disappointed as well because I am a cantor in the church. I love this song so much and Strong and Constant has ''Yahweh' as well. The parish musician advised me - it's because of the Jewish/ Dominican tradition. At the back of my head, I was thinking- we are here to Praise the Lord, why this man-made rules?

  • I bet you're one of those very very lonely atheists who are jealous of happy God-believing people.

  • who are we to judge.

  • You have searched my heart.

You know when I sit and when I stand.

( THIS is my favorite gospel song.)

  • This is such a beautiful song. A family from our church performed it for their dad's reviewal. Very powerful. Thank you for posting it!

  • this song makes me cryit's really powerfulone of my favoritesthanks for posting such a great version

  • thanks for posting this video i love it.

  • please stop already. both of you don't know what you are talking about.

  • Please explain then where I am wrong, because as far as I know Im quoting scripture...that's the only source where I get my information from regarding this

  • naimdnozid, agreed my aqpologizes

  • marvelous song

  • millions of catholics actually claim that Mary is Yahushua co-redeemer, that is disgusting and blasphemous! Mary was not there when the Heavens and the Earth were created, she was a good woman whome God chose yes, but she lived a normal life of a good Jewish girl back in those days, and it says in scripture Yahushua would be born of the lineage of David , and Mary was from the lineage of David! I dont see why you cant have an open mind to the truth?!

  • I say this kindly and with an honest heart.God hates idolatry!

Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made." —Isaiah 2:8

If you foolishly disobey the Bible by saying "Hail Mary," then you are committing idolatry. Mary is no more special than any other godly woman in the Bible. If you idolize Mary, then you are practicing false religion. If you Hail Mary, then you are worshipping and praising Satan indirectly.

  • Who do you think you are that you can question the sovereignty of God, by sying it could have been any Holy,Godly woman, or who God could of picked. It was the decsion of God, and God alone, by the work of the Holy Spirit who would be the mother of Jesus. How dare you mock the severity of God and blasphemy against the work of the Holy Spirit in such a fashion. You are not anyone to say who God could of chosen, because He chose Mary and no one else, GET IT.

  • No what you dont get is you dont esteem or pray to Mary! and she was not a virgin after Yahushua and had many other children, I was actually Roman Catholic once, but i started searching out the truth and realized the catholic church is full of pagan lies! Im not questioning God's choice, once again your twisting what Im saying because you cant answer the points I bring up! God chose Mary fine..she was a good believing woman but you dont pray to her and she died like everyone else!

  • oh yes you are questioning.. As a former Roman Catholic than you of all people should know that the Nicene Creed is the foundation, doctrine and dogma of what Roman Catholic''s believe in a nut shell. Why don't you know that my statement to you stands. you do not know what you are talking about.

  • NO..your questioning scripture! I dont follow the catechism, I follow scripture and scripture only! and what I say about Mary are not my own personal thoughts, it all comes from scripture! The Nicene creed suggests that the roman catholic church is right church when that is so completely untrue! They changed everything, from the sabbath day, and even switched the 2nd commandment, and eating swine's flesh and bowing to statues! It's rediculous! Why dont you use your love for the Father in truth!

  • Ok everyone pay attention I think it is important to note that no where in the Creed does it say Roman Catholic Church. The word Catholic means (universal) the word Church means (way of life) Before the east and west split there was only one Chruch the Old Catholic Chruch. Here are some other Churches that the Creed is given high importance:

  • continue:the Eastern Orthodax Church, Assyrian Church of the East, Oriental Orthodox churches,Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Catholic Church,Old Catholic Church, Lutheran, almost all branches of Protestantism,Reform Church, Presbyterian Church, Methodist Church. AAAAAAgain you have no idea what you are talking about. Your credibility as sole authoriy, and only person that is right is fadding fast God Bless

  • I think its you vickie who have no idea what you talking about and are trying to stear the conversation topic to somethign else because you couldnt proove to me anywhere in scripture where it says Mary was born without original sin, or that she rose into heaven? Or you cant find me in scripture where it says the sabbath day was switched or where its okay to bow down to statues or eat unclean meat as stated in Leviticus! Stick to the topic!

  • The Old Testament was written in Hebrew. The New Testament was written in Greek. This is a scriptual and historical fact.

  • First of all example 1....Why would the book of hebrew be written in greek to hebrew people? why would any of it be written in Greek? That makes no sense, it is not a fact at all! Another example is when Yahushua spoke to Shaul on the way to demascus in says in the books of acts he spoke in the HEBREW language!

  • Mary did not remain a virgin. After Yahushua was virgin born through a miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit of God, Mary and Joseph married and had many children (Matthew 12:46-47; 13:55-56). Mary and Joseph took Yahushua to Jerusalem when He was 12 (Luke 2:42). Why would Joseph be present if he weren't Mary's husband? Mary did not remain a virgin!

Read what Mary said about Yahushua in Luke 1:47, "And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour."

  • people point out the verse that says Joseph did not have relations with Mary until she had given birth to the firstborn. The word "first" was often used for things that were "the ONLY ones" and nothing came after them. The Greek word "eos" is translated as "until", but in fact it is used throughout the Bible meaning "it did not happen until this time and neither did it happen after." "Until" is a mis-translation.

  • No, the blessed mother had no other children there is no scripture that says jesus had siblings brothers of jesus were known as brothers of the lord in early christian times .the term brother by no means necessarilly refers to a full blood brother.

  • Comment removed

  • you can refer to a brother or sister in Maschiach of course, Im not saying you cant, but in the context of the scripture I gave they are talking about actual brother and sisters! If she had not consumated her marriage she would not have been married to Joseph..it says he knew her after the birthof Yahushua, she herself that she needed a saviour, there was NO ONE perfect accept Maschiach...and like I said proove what you say by scripture or else your only fooling yourself!

  • and for the record Yahushua did not come to start"christianity" it says in scripture he came for the lost sheep of Israel and those who wish to be grafted in...he did not do away with Torah because he said he would not change one jot or title of Torah, he said if you love me keep my commandments!

  • 1:25 He knew her not, till after she had brought forth - It cannot be inferred from hence, that he knew her afterward: no more than it can be inferred from that expression, 2Sam 6:23, Michal had no child till the day of her death, that she had children afterward. Nor do the words that follow, the first - born son, alter the case. For there are abundance of places, wherein the term first born is used, though there were no subsequent children. Luke 2:7.

  • Comment removed

  • if you wanna stay in the dark ages of your faith thats up to you, instead of wanting learn and grow, you HAVE to consumate the marriage! God instituded marriage, if there is no sexual relation there is no marriage, what you say is really pagan....it also says no where in scripture that she ascended into heaven......Not everyone has children, I know that, but Mary had a lot of children, what dont you understand about that? you are deriving from the point by stating someone didnt conceive

  • No one is perfect but Yahushua....the reason mary was CHosen was because she was a good Torah believing woman who was from the lineage of David, not because she was immaculate!

  • Here let me put it to you in different terms. I'm sure you have a close friend someone you really love and trust in your life. When they take you to meet there mother do you spit in her face and tell her what a piece of chrap she is? Or are you respectful to her out of respect and love for your dear friend? Would your friend be offended if you treated his/she mother that way? How about you what if it was your mother? Well keep spitin.

  • are you kiding me? did I say she was a piece of crap..NO! She was a very righteous modest woman, who had a deep faith, my point is she was a sinner like everyone else, You are totally deriving from the point and twisting what I was saying. Im getting the point across she was not immaculate, and she did not remain a virgin, but she was when she gave birth to Yahushua. and yes she was chosen, but she herself said she needed a saviour and she followed Torah, In life she was just another woman

  • We are all sinners in need of salvation. The Church is not a place for saints it is a hospital for sinners. Mary the mother of Jesus was born without the blemish of original sin. Immaculate conception. Because God and Sin can never occupy the same place at the same time. And she was the vessel. No I am not twisting your words use your common sence. We don't worship Mary the virgin Mother of Jesus we homor her, esteem her, hold her in high regard. She was not some common person on the street.

  • proove it to me with SCRIPTURE that she was born without original sin....YOU CANT! Because she wasnt!!! that is completely false doctrine! You dont esteem anyone accept Yahushua, you even pray to her which is blasphemous! and using greek to translate is also ludicrous, they spoke hebrew, you have to go to the orginal hebrew and like I said they would not have been married if they did not cosumate the marriage!

  • We do not pray to Mary the Mother of Jesus, we ask her to pray for us. Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Do you need me to define intercessory prayer as well.

  • Yes, that is right Mary was chosen. Not you not me not any other woman only Her. I thank God every day that she said Yes to the Holy Spirit. We have our Lord and Savior.

  • This is one of my favorite songs during Mass. =]

  • Have a wonderful Easter, everybody! Am sitting here listening to this song, and am really thankful that someone submitted it.

  • I was in lab this morning, and I heard beautiful religious music, and for a minute I thought it was God. I kept saying "come back" after it stopped. My friend/lab partner who also heard it said my time is near. If that's the case, I am totally ready, even though I'm only 21. God is awesome.

  • thats beautiful

  • dritz 1 We honour Mary in many ways, but we do it with the understanding that Mary's role in salvation history in no way hinders our relationship with Jesus but, on the contrary, fosters it. To God and to God alone, we direct our worship. As the Church teaches, Mary, the masterpiece of God's creation, we honour above all other saints."

  • Mary was a good woman, but a sinner like everyone else and she did not remain a virgin..after Yahushua she had many children in fact...there's no point in praying to her, she is asleep, it says clearly in scripture the dead are asleep until the second coming...You pray To Yahuah the Father Through Yahushua, thats how he taught

  • Mary had no other children there are no brothers and sisters of Jesus period. A person being called Brother would be a cousin of another relative that was the custum at the time, and Mary was born free of original sin. Because it would not of been possible for our Lord and Savior to be born to anyone with sin. BECAUSE OUR LORD THE SECOND PERSON IN THE HOLY TRINITY WHO WAS COMPLETELY HUMAN AND COMPLETELY DEVINE DOESNOT EVER OCCUPY SPACE WHERE THERE IS ANY SIN PERIOD.

  • actually there's much proof that Mary did have other children, you just follow false doctrine of the roman cahtholic church. she was NOT born free of original sin, you find me In SCRIPTURE where it says that! with everything you go to scripture! and Trinity is also pagan, the Ruach(holy spirit) is the power of Yahuah...and if you cant find me in scripture than dont bother

  • and another thing his name was not Jesus it was Yahushua..Jesus is a pagan greek name, the letter j wasnt even around five hundred years ago, how about we callhim by the right and proper name!

  • Try reading Matthew 1:25 and He "KNEW" her not until she gave birth to her son, the first-born...lets see shall we ...the term knew would be referred to as sex. He didn not have sex with Miriam until after she gave birth to Yahushua......secondly......about him having brothers and sisters read Mark 6:3 Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Miryam and BROTHER of Ya'acob and Yoseph and Yahudah and Shim'on? And are not his sisters here with us?

  • THis song reminde me of my graduation in college when we are attending mass before the program. we sang during Eucharist, very touching, we are crying and thanking God for being there with us through good and bad times until we achieved our dreams. PRAISED GOD AND MAMA MARY!

  • Hello dreemrich, I hope and pray that this message will not offend you. I was once before a Catholic. Very religious young man. However I come to know that we should only be serving God and Him alone. Mary is a fine woman however we shouldn't be praising her. Jesus Christ , our Lord, Our Saviour, our Redeemer, our God, should only be the one to be Exalted for He died for me and you on Calvary. By the way the Song is a blessing. I pray that you will know Him more deeper not because of tradition.

  • Praise and Glory to God!

  • YES...praise and Glory to God!!!

Thank you Mary for saying "yes" to God Almighty, thanks to you we have our redeemer here AMONG US!!!!

    PRAISE GOD AND MAMA MARY!!!

    GOD BLESS EVERYBODY!!!

  • yahweh and jehovah are not god's name, jesus said our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name.did he mentioned yahweh or jehovah in the prayer that he taugth us?..NO!!! calling GOD our Father is enough.

  • praise god we thank you to all blessing, take care always to all your children amen!

  • I love and appreciate all of your work, keep it up. VickyGoss

  • This song sounds so familar. I think we sung it during the communion.... it sounds beautiful!! I love it...

  • I missed this church song. Haven't heard it for quite a while!

  • The Vaticans congregation of Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments issued a directive to all bishops conferences on June 29, 2008, stating that Catholics are to no longer say the name Yahweh in a liturgical setting, whether in song or spoken

  • I love the song also it makes me cry all the time; the composer is working on a revisal of the song now.

  • I wonder if the composer will change the lyrics of the song to adhere to the Directive, or is the song gone (and lost) forever?

  • WHY?

  • Certainly the great false prophet cannot acknowledge God's name any more than they can even acknowledge that their doctrine has no basis in The Truth of God found in The Holy Bible.

  • God is Good all the time

  • GOD bless us all...

  • i really love this song... I am greatful knowing that God is always beside be whatever i do.. HE love us so much..

  • Lord thank you.

  • It reminds me of God's loving mercy despite of my wickedness...

  • Dear Kaseyluva,

Thank you for your reply, I know that grandparents and parents are very special. I am so glad you have good memories of your grandfather. I also have great memories of mine.

Take care and God bless, Marina

  • MAY GOD BE WITH YOU ALL!... And may He embrace you all with love and yearning...

  • Dear Kaseyluva, I know how you feel, when I lost my grandfather, I was in so much pain. especially because he raised me. Now both your grandfather and mine are waiting for us to someday be with them again. And we will, praising God all mighty and having a feast with them.God bless you and I am sorry for your pain.

  • MarinaluvsJesus,Thank you for your kind words. My grandpa was so great. His death was very sudden, my brother and I drove home from college the day he died to be with my family. My other cousin drove 4 hours to come home. It was so hard on all of us grandkids. He had 7 of us who loved him so much. Megan (22) Andrew (22) Kayla (20) (he actually died on Kayla's birthday, it was her 20th, Me (19) Rachel (16) Brenden (8) and Maggie (5) He was the BEST. I too am sorry for the loss of your grandpa.

  • This song is so beautiful..it was the closing song at my grandpa's funeral about a month ago.

  • When ever I am afraid I sing this song and change the word near to here! it really works,

Praise God for this beautiful song,

God has healed me in so many ways, I am forever thankful for His mercy and love! :)

  • Thank you Lord for guiding me always. I know you are always around me/us.

You are an awesome God worthy to be praise!

I love you Lord and thank you for loving me too.

  • I'm not a religious person but I really love this song.

  • A Youtube "playlist" for all those sincerely seeking Christ's return : Candles Of Unity

    Have a look !

  • Only 1228 days till Christ's return to Earth.

  • based on more paranoid Hall Lyndsy type fear mongering I suppose

Geez.... until the next missed deadline

  • Geez is short for Jesus ... Are you praying. By the way, the timing of the return of Jesus has been given by His true prophet, Ronald Weinland.

  • "Geez is short for Jesus ... Are you praying."

Whata stupid comment. So when I say "Gordon Bennet" I'm also praying? Grow the heck up and learn to make an aurgument.

"the timing of the return of Jesus has been given by His true prophet"

And how many times have I heard that before in ralation to hindreds fo true prophest who turned out to be false. I hope you got your rocks ready as you know there is only one punishment for false prophets ;)

  • Personally, I believe that the moral of the story of the "Boy who cried wolf" is that eventually the wolf was really at the door. Sorry about the "Geez is short for Jesus ... Are you praying" comment, i guess it came off a little more sarcastic than ironic which was what i was attempting. I am not much for arguments but i would love to discuss the facts with you.

  • i have been looking out for this song for ages, thanks lyle!

  • THANKS for this!!Praise Yahweh!!

  • Absolutely LOVED this!!

  • thank you so much, this was spiritual medicine much needed.

  • Dear Lord, I know you are with me always, in the mist of the loneliness that I am feeling, I know your love is always near. I thank you for putting me on this earth and placing me in your heart!

  • this is a sad song kinda. lord please take care of my best friend taylor, i know you had a reason for her life to be so short. king philip high needed a gardian angel <3

    Ros

  • this is the very first mass song i learned with the help of my mom and kuya and seeing it here in youtube brings back that special moment when they did their best to teach me the correct lyrics and tune. Thank you very much for posting it!!!!

  • if adam and eve dont have belly buttons cause they didnt come from a womb why would we have belly buttons?

    email me back

  • dude! didnt you realize that u just answered your own question! we have belly button cuz we came out of our mother's snatch!

  • Praise Yah in the name of Yahshua. HalleluYAH!

  • This is interesting that this is a catholic song.

  • Even more interesting to note that the catholic church, on June 29, 2008, banned the use of God's name, Yahweh, in their church.

  • Yahweh isn't God's name. Yehovah is older then Yahweh. When the people came to america, they thought The Jehovahs witnesses stole God's name, so they changed it to "Yahweh". Yehovah goes back to the 7th and 8th Centuries and Yahweh goes back only 200 years. We don't know God's name, alls we know is "YAH", but not the last pronounciation of it. But like I said, Yehovah would be the oldest and closet to his name.

  • In the language that The Holy Bible was written, over 4000 years ago, the vowels were not written. So God's name consists of the four consonents YHVH and the vowels/pronunciation depend on which vowels you use and how many. "Yah" is only a short form of Yahveh, as in "Halleluyah" which translates as "praise Yahveh".

  • And you study hebrew right?

Ermm well to correct you on this front, it wasn;t Hebrew it was actually Greek, which translated means, he who sits on high, or on the mountain, which in Roman refered to Jupiter or Zeus.

  • I beg to differ, since the tetragrammaton YHVH occurs first in the old testament written in Hebrew. The new testament was originally written in Greek.

  • It's clear you haveno idea what I'm talking about, and due largley to your denial. YHW was but one of many gods on the mountain that you don't want to accept are clearly mentioned int eh Bible and confirmed in the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Mountain, Gods... what does that remind you of?

  • On the contrary, I know exactly what you are talking about. I do not deny at all that many FALSE gods are mentioned in the Bible along with the one true and living God, Yahveh, who said, "I am one and there is no other". Any other gods, ghosts, and goblins are fabrications of Satan used to distract and confuse and prevent us from knowing the truth about God. BTW, there is a reason they call it Greek MYTHology.

  • I have studied the Bible quite extensively. If you have any questions or challenges, i would be happy to answer them. Maybe you can teach me something i dont know.

  • "I have studied the Bible quite extensively."

Thats a very dangerous thing to say to me, it's been done in the past, just to let you know. I'm afraid I already know every falible answer you have. I had them too, and believed them once...

    Think about that

  • I am a big fan of apologetics also that is how we learn

  • Exodus 3:15 is used to support the use of the Name YHWH: This is my Name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations.. Tetragrammaton is a name of the Divine Name as written in the Hebrew Masoretic Text and appears 6,828 times in Hebrew text of both the Biblia Hebraica and Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia

  • HalleluYAH! Isn't His Name wonderful! The purpose of our lives is to Glorify and Enjoy Him FOREVER!

  • Praise God for this video!
