  • nice cool !!!

  • Thanks dude!

  • thx dude~ this video is what i wanted~

  • Thanks, this is the most accurate and clearest lesson for Falling Slowly on Youtube. By the way in the bridge it's easier (and the same notes) if you use the a-minor chord (instead of F-sus) immediately after the Gsus-4 pattern.

  • haha awesome thanks dude i finally know this on guitar 2 now thanks to you =) again thanks and awesome video

  • @iknowlamename121 hey thx!! happy to help!!

  • thank you so much... you did really great job... there's not too many people who can really explain how to play a song on a guitar... but you did just great and it's just so easy to understand... thanks again :)

  • @tj940427 Happy to help :)

  • great job man! nice tutorial very detailed!!!

  • Hi,

why do you use Am and F in the bridge? for both chord you play the same notes on string 1 2 and 3! did you made a mistake or do i not understand the difference!?

    thanks

  • @curvin1981 For the bridge it should go: Am, G, F, G, Am, G, F, F yeah?

  • thanks! you are rlly helpful!

  • Wow! Thank you :D

  • Your tutorial is really easy and nice! Thank you so much! :D

  • Very good vid thx!!!

  • Nice Job. One of the better ones I've seen so far.

    Good job.

  • I will not stop until I learn this song. You have the best tutorial so far. Thanks a million. :D

  • Dude, you should do an imposter video as seth rogen, you would get a shitload of views.

  • Do you know the electric guitar part of the The Frames' version?

My friends and I play this song but we don't know the electric guitar part ç_ç

  • Ehi Tallie, don't you know the electric guitar part in The Frames' version?

I'd be very useful,my friends and me play this song but we don't know what the electric guitar has to do.

  • thanks seth rogan!

  • @maxethag You know it! :)

  • @maxethag omg. yeah!!!!

  • 0:11 finger pointing failure; the video description has been moved by youtube :p

  • i<3you sooooo much for posting this, you have NOOOOO idea !

  • thx a lot !

  • Thankyou so much, awesome tutorial after picking up my guitar after a few years its really helped me get back into it. Nice and simple to understand, 5 stars from me. cheers.

  • i just dont get the bridge yet....but nice vid...

  • thankyou(:

  • whoa, thanks for the details. Thought I had it perfect til now

  • @amielrox Happy to help

  • very detailed tut..

thank you very much! you are awesome!

  • Thanks so much for this tutorial! You're great! I can't wait to be able to play this song well.

  • Nice step-by-step, just learning guitar TOTALLY because of Glen! Have you gotten around to reposting video with all corrections? Having trouble reading tabs and changing what you said being a total beginner at this (at age 40:). Awesome video though, thanks!!

  • thank you ,after practice,i will send you reply video

  • hi, we are still waiting for a reply video ^^

  • you are good teacher :-) You explain it very simply so everybody understands. Thank you

  • @mirkaschwab Well thank you very much :)

  • Brilliant! I fell in love with this song when I watched the film. I really wanted to learn it and your video really helped. Thank you:)have to keep practising the strumming part though...I've got to look up more video lessons of their songs, if you have any:) btw love the "weird G" ;)

  • he sound 100& like Seth Rogen

  • Haha, it always cracks me up when someone else puts that on here.

  • lol its literately perfect. And btw, i can do the C part fine, but that F part kills me. Also just like moving from the C to F fast enough is hard for me. Any tips? Also do you have any favorite songs that are good for beginners like me?

  • Tips? Just keep practicing. I know that it's nothing deep, but it's all anyone can really tell ya. It just comes in time with muscle memory. I was really slow when I made this video but now I can go from one chord to another to another as fast as I can put one foot in front of the other. It'll come. Just keep practicing going between chords.

Falling Slowly is a simple one to start practicing on. Just practicing strumming the entire song until you get it and then add in finger picking.

    Cheers

  • wierd g. hahaha

  • thank you a lot!

  • your cute x x x

  • omgwtfbbq,

i didnt seth rogen played guitar

  • SETH ROGEN !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Your voice sounds like Seth Rogan. lol.

  • OMG HE SOOO DOES=]

    haha

  • I've only ever gotten that on here

  • 1:06 it's not an Fsus2, it's an Fmaj7. Fsus2 has it's 2nd deg in the chord (G, 5th deg in key of C), which isn't there. Fmaj7 has it's 7th deg (e, 3rd deg in C), which IS there (the open e).

3:19-3:30 That description is not of an Fsus2, it's an F9. The 4th finger is playing the G above the chord's octave, which is the 9th. Any sus chords involve the 2nd and 4th degrees. I'm not an authority in music, but if you have ?'s, feel free to ask Keep up the good work

  • Cool.

  • thanks!

  • thanks :)

  • I need the music sheet of this song for piano. Can anyone help me? I'm begging you

  • thank you very much.

it's really easy to learn with you :'D

  • thanks very much. loved it

  • any chance you can re-record this since there are a lot of things that you messed up on in the video and it is tough to keep up with the little boxes popping up.

  • I'll be happy to, however, I won't be able to until the start of September because of my job and moving to NY. I will post a new one though with all the corrections worked into it.

  • Awesome! Thanks a lot, I really want to learn this song.

  • wheuh!I appreciate your method though I got "head ache" after! You're good! thanks....

  • Awesome video, very easy to follow, appreciate your time and effort, sucks Ultimate Guitar wouldn't accept your tabs, that would have been very helpful also.

  • Jason, Thanks so much for this awesome instructional. I know nothing yet of playing guitar and am teaching myself through your videos! This song inspired me to learn how to play. Thanks again and are you on Facebook?

  • Twat tE ell yu talkin bout!!!! i diDt evn pozt on heAr!!

  • well kevbo how about you learn to spell once in a while

  • you do sound like seth rogan .

  • THANK U SOO MUCH!!!

  • G sus4

  • seth if the film carrer goes tits up at least you can teach guitar

  • your a douche learn the chords, this is a great video

  • great job! :D thank you

  • omfg! seth rogan! haha

  • You are excellent!! Oh and have to agree with the Seth Rogan comment. In this vid its like your the same person :)

  • I've never gotten that before putting this on YouTube, haha. But I take it as a compliment, so thank you.

  • you sound like seth rogan

  • thats exactly what i thought

  • thanks for very detailed explanation~~

  • awesome tutorial...any way i can get my hands on the tabs?

  • Thanks for posting this vid man, i recently saw the film once and had to learn the song and ur vid was the easiest tutorial. Thnx man.

  • you have no idea how much u have helped me learn this song, and it means so much to be able to play it because it is such a special song to me. it warms my heart ;)

  • I'm sooo glad I could help. I know exactly what you mean. Being able to play it makes it mean even more to you when you thought that wasn't even possible

  • thanks again, and ill be learning form ur other vids too. :)

  • dang this channel is so ridiculously helpful

  • You r the best, man

  • Haha, thanks man. I really appreciate it.

  • i love this song very much.

    thanks for the instructions(=

  • Happy to help

  • I took my partner to see the movie and just before it started she farted and everyone looked at me.

  • Thanks for sharing! :D

  • wat guitar u got man

  • well I don't have the guitar in this video any more but back in December I did get an acoustic electric: a Takamine EAN10C. It's the closest available model to Glen's since his isn't made anymore. The only difference between the two is one's back is made of mahogany and one's is made of rosewood. Also the pre amps are of course different but everything else is the exact same. I can't express how much I love the guitar and I wouldn't play any other... unless it was Glen's haha :) get one

  • Thank you for the information and instruction... I can easily play the chord'ed version, but I want to pick it to sound like right! With practice, it will come!

  • It most certainly will come with practice. Have fun and you're welcome :)

  • I know that you said the tabs were rejected, but would it be possible to put a download file link or something to them? It would make it a lot easier, because i can't remember what you say long enough to play it. lol It's really a good tutorial so far from what I've watched though!

  • can you make a cover video of this song?

  • Will do. I'll jump right on it next week once I have more time.

  • hey. something is wrong.

and u didnt explain clearly how to play the first part.

  • Yeah, he messes up a couple of times with his numbers and terminology a couple of times, but if you can't learn to play the song from this video... you are an idiot.

  • Heh... like I just did. Maybe I could put "a couple of times" in there a couple of times more.

  • i looked up Fsus2 and it doesnt look anything like that. Fadd9 looks exactly like that though

  • That's it. Thanks man

  • thank goodness....

  • thanks..cool

  • Nicely done, but I hate teles

  • amazing!

  • Seth Rogen? great video

  • where are the tabs then cant find em???

  • can you put the tabs to somewhere?

  • thanks, really good video ...

i'm sure, like most musicians of his kind, he'll change it around a bit every time... so I wouldn't get to hung up if it's not exact ...

you could look at 10 different videos of Hendrix playing a song and each will be different apart from basic chord structure.

so to all the nit pickers.. stop being so anally retentive ... you'll never develop your own style that way

  • WOW great job

    p.s. the weird g is actually a Gsus4

  • That's it :) Thank you very much

  • oh my gosh TOTALLY sounds like Seth Rogan! Great lesson though, I love that movie!

  • it really does!! hahahah

  • Oh my God!! Hahahahaa

  • great lesson dude , really helped

  • off subject, but this guy TOTALLY sounds like Seth Rogan. HAH.

  • Haha, i've never heard that one before

  • What are you talking about? At 1:21 I play the first string on the first fret with my index finger.

  • what are you laughing at? ur not even right. He does play it on the first fret on the first string. Learn to pay attention

  • thanks!

  • I havent seen the video yet i learned to play this song off an other video here on youtube and i hope i've been playing it rigth :D

  • do you have a tab for this????

  • nope, just the video with the annotations. is there anything i can clear up?

  • its a good video but you should do everything that you cuted off and what you did wrong explain it

  • great video! but could you please write out the fingering for that weird G chord; it'd be much appreciated!

    thanks a lot!

  • 3x0030 The pinkie finger is down on the 2nd string 3rd fret, but with the index finger behind it on the 2nd string 1st fret. You pluck the 6th and 2nd strings at the same time, then lift the pinkie and pluck the 2nd string, then lift the index and pluck the 2nd string again, and then you pluck the 3rd string. Lemme know if that's not clear enough. I hope that helped :) Happy new year!

    Jason

  • thankyou so much for this! but when u made this video were u doing it in standard tuning or eB?

  • I played it in standard tuning when I recorded this but I highly recommend tuning it to Eb and listening to the scene in the film where they first play it. I can't play it in anything but Eb now :)

  • thankyou very much

  • 5:43 something seems off he does like a descending am thing i think one of your notes in there is off maybe u just made a mistake or something idk that part has been giving me the most trouble

  • hey dude me again lol um let me see when i like a band i have to play everything they do perfectly buit i cant learn by ear lolyou know when their in the music shop playing falling slowly and its like c,f am, then hes like "hold" hes playing a chord that im positive isnt one of those three what chord is it? its near where he starts humming. great vid for a great song i hope these videos get u noticed i subscibed could you plz do "lies" next? or leave? or all the way dpown? thanks so much

  • Well I watched that part of the film again and it still looks like to me that he is playing that 4th chord the same as the 2nd one. However, it seems that his middle finger isn't on the 3rd string. It looks like it's on the 4th string just sitting there behind the ring finger. I don't know, haha. And I have Lies, Leave, All the Way Down, Trying To Pull Myself Away, and Fitzcarraldo figured out. I just haven't put them on here yet. I'll get on that after exams when I head home next week.

  • perpect teaching!!!! I'm a biginner(this song is my 2nd study), so your tutorial is very useful to me. thanks!!

  • This helped alot,

thx for your time and effort!

    <3

  • Thanks it's very useful good job.

  • Sorry, man , but in the movie he plays on Eb on the music store T_T

  • Sorry, but I must respectfully disagree. :) I just played along with the song in Eb and I could tell just by listening that he's not playing it in that tuning. If you play it when it in standard (E A D G B e), you can see it sounds the exact same. Granted I'm playing along with the album version, because a buddy of mine is borrowing the movie. Standard is what he also plays it in in every video on YouTube I've looked at, but I'll check it out when I get the movie back. Thanks though.

  • Yeah, man . In the studio's version he used the normal tuning. But check on the music store part when you got the movie back.

I was using it to learn how tyo play, and then I saw your video ^^ Helps me a lot, but I just couldn't match my tyning with the movie, so I used a keyboard and BINGO! E flat

  • I'm really having a tough time deciphering the weird G--could you tell me the exact fingering and order of strings by numbers?

    that would be incredibly helpful.

great tutorial :) well done & thank you!
