  • i have the same muffler on my 08 ram 3.7 they sound great at the lower part of the rpm range. around 2500 they resonate really well but after that its kinda rice

  • no i can only guess. seeing as the 3.8 liters stock were 190hp, my guess would be maybe a little over 200.

  • flows dont add that much and if its stock maybe 195

  • @touchdowntexas13 yea the only exhausts that add that much horsepower is header back with longtubes, hfc, x pipe, and from there you can do what you want, but dyno proven the best setup can give you 20+ and a tune helps

  • @touchdowntexas13 the 3.8 stock was 168 buddy, this thing has probably a nick over 175 bhp, the 3.8s stock didnt have much power, but they were extremely responsive to boltons

  • @touchdowntexas13 lol dang, well i was misinformed, and for its time and displacement id say it was pretty good, they were very responsive to mods, boltons or forging, just a shame they dropped a truck engine into the mustangs, the 4.0 is decent but seemed like they decided at the last minute what engine to put in

    I didn't think the motor came from their truck line. I thought the only v6 they used in their trucks was a 4.2L.

    Anyways it doesn't matter. The 2011 v6's and GT's both have plenty of power. It should be a good year for all mustang enthusiasts.

  • @touchdowntexas13 they used the Ranger and Explorer engines, it was used previously in the bronco and f150 before the 150s changed to the 4.2, but yeah, i cant wait, im trading in for the 2011 GT, its going to be crazy

  • I wouldn't know. The reason i got the scoop was cuz someone hit my car in the parking lot. Had to get a whole new hood so i opted for the gt scoop. I'm sure you could find out on any mustang website.

  • Well as long as Flowmaster hasn't changed their mufflers, you would ask for two plain 40-series mufflers(2-chamber or 3-chamber? I think 2). Ask them to do a true dual exhaust straight off the cats(catalytic converters) with no x or h pipe. It's probably the simplest way to dual out your mustang. I'm not really sure what size the piping is, but i think it would have to be the same size as the pipe comin off the cats. Then pick your tips, and personally i would of rather had the non-rolled tips.

  • if you want the best sound get a custom fab'd 2.5" inch H-pipe with High flow cats on their, and yes with 2 chamber flowmaster 40's. and if your state emissions laws allow it, long tube headers.

  • the holes for everything is the same on the v6, u just have to cut out the little bars, then its just a matter of installing the foglights and wiring em up

  • Actually someone hit me in the parking lot so i replaced the whole front bumper and opted for the gt foglights. you could just cut out the holes and put them in though.

  • nothin much. the only performance mod is the dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. the dual exhaust and performance mufflers allow better flow of the exhaust gases which give a little more horsepower, a little better gas mileage, and a deeper/throatier sound.

  • LOL...Dude I know alot about V6 Stangs and the 5.0 and 4.6 and if you had the choice hmmm I wonder what you wouldn't choose. Takes ALOT more to get the V6 to 8sec than any V8. I own a 93 GT you can see it in my Vid I have alot more done to it now and if anyone wants to sink $5000 into a V6 engin to keep up to my $1000 in engin V8 have fun but I'll take ya everytime $10 to me is $100 for you and I will allways win! A stock 5.0 can run as low as 14.0 flat thats 2 sec faster than your little V6 and $1000 in eaxh cae stock for stock the 5.0 would DESTROY a V6 everyone on the planet knows that why are you so defensive use your head I thoouhgt all Mustang owners 'Even V6 Owners' were smart I guess not. Less displacement makes it harder to get horsepower.If a 5.0 gained 10 off CAI than the V6 would be mabey 3 do some reserch its bin proven!

My 93 gt has BBk short headers,bbk underdrive pullies,bbk CAI 2 1/4 pipe no cats,flow 40's,3.73's plugs wires and all that stuff and my fastest time this year was 13.88 with the same kind of mods on your car youd be lucky to get under 15 and YES it will cost you more to get as much hp as I do

  • you seem to be a mustang guy so im SURE you know that the first production mustang that came out in 64 had a windsor small block v8. from there Ford just kept upping the cubic inches with the 390's, 427's, 428's, and 429's in order to compete with the likes of Mopar's 427 hemi. now where did that v6 go?? it came out in those same cars at a much cheaper price and well, those cars never made it to the drag strip. in conclusion a v6 NEVER sounds the exact same as a v8.

  • its all preference dude. you can want a big v6, or a v8. obviosly you are very gas conscious and prefer the v6 as do probably a lot of people. For me, especially with mustang, i prefer the v8. its all preference. not everyone thinks the same way you do. so you may loosen up your thong. either way im done arguing. i cant even afford a v8 until after ive graduated from college and paid a fat student loan
