The 90s... where Microsoft was happily holding back the progress of computing, Linux nerds were too busy arguing over what to call their OS (and convincing it to do anything graphical) and nobody noticed the Internet was going to become rather popular, and that showing tiny windows of video was not that useful really.
Oh, and everyone had crap GUIs that were all square edged with silly ideas about context menus and task managers.
I finally managed to try BeOS, in the form of Personal Edition 5, installed through Windows 98 on the Q Emu. Be can't figure out Q's virtual monitor card, so it's slow and monochrome. This video, my struggles with emulators, and Be's story in general make me depressed, because I was a child when Be had a hopeful future and have recollections of wanting a Be box. At least there's still hope for Haiku, but it lacks that Roaring-90s magic that shows through these videos and the website's archives.
Wow! That looked great. What processors will it run on. Like PPC, X86, AMD64 what about on an Amiga. I believe I have a Dual PII around here some where.

@someman7 I have this installed on my Acer. It's great, although BeOS and Haiku have poor WiFi support. I don't get WiFi. :\
They said they'll add more in BeOS 9, so hopefully they'll fix that.
Besides that, I love Haiku.
