No , I know you didn't mean to mislead . But , I think those guys are in a class of there own.
I have always admired there work. I did a painting of star trek Voyager (opening scene) green colours etc and the effect I got (by accident) made the painting appear cold looking so that I did not want to paint in the ship it would have lost the effect of solitude , coldness of space. My aunt 's got it now. I still do paintings from time to time but patients is my worst enemy.
@athenasword1 I took a look at some of their work, especially boris vallejo. Theres a lot of nice work. thanks for mentioning them. painting and drawing alike take an intense amount of patience as you know, but it's equally rewarding I find. Best wishes and Merry Christmas!
@DizzyMustang I don't know a single person (including myself) who can draw what's in their mind with ease. I drew directly from a photograph for this one. Also, to follow your logic, all that's in your mind is stuff you've seen before. Drawing from life helps you to draw from the mind. The next step is to draw partly from life, partly from mind, and eventually (though I haven't gotten there to see the purposes), you could possibly draw only from the mind. Thank you for the comment!
@InnovationalFilms your very welcome :) and thanks for the reply, been wanting to push myself on challenges when it comes to drawing things like that but cant seem to get the exact hold of the image.. like on a pic, the head be slanted or something and in my drawing, i make it look straight lol messed up and cant do it in mind since my adhd is a problem... think of rabbits then i ended up drawing a monkey with duck feet and other weird things lol
@DizzyMustang so in a way you are drawing from your mind, turning a rabbit into a monkey with duck feet haha. There's a ton of different excercises to do with drawing.First there's all the medias: graphite, conte, crayon, colored pencil, charcoal, etc. and all the papers. Then theres techniques. You can morph things like u say, create new things, draw things you see, there are endless possibilities truly. If you get sick of one, move to the next, dodge the feeling of being burnt out
@InnovationalFilms yeah but the things that come from my mind look like drawings done by a two year old LOL but get a picture infront of me, you get something almost like the image but a tad different since i cant make it exact loli need to learn to use different type of pencils for detailing too... use to sicking with one pencil for everything
@InnovationalFilms This Brings to mind a person I started coping back in the 70s.
If what you say is True , then how dose Boris Vallejo , Frank Frazzetta , Mary bell
Etc. do that kind of work. Mr Frazzetta states he works entirely from Imagination ,
Takes some doing?? OK. B.V.& M.B may be a team ,so they may help each other. That's open to debate But , I mean some of these Sci-fi pictures must be done from the imagination : gas clouds , planet surfaces , etc. So many I have seen
@athenasword1 well didn't mean to mislead. Nobody draws what they haven't first seen. All my life I've been soaking up visual information, and my minds been making sense of it in very complex ways. So everything that I can visualize in my mind is because I first saw it at some time with my eyes, even if what I visualize is a complex and articulate conglomerate of visual information that was stored in my mind.
dude this is an amazing piece of work man good job i envy u right now lol, but i would really like to know how long it took u to draw like that did u take a class in college or did u learn on your own
I think that that is very good the only thing I have to say is that the right arm is a little too big and the neck should go down a little farther before you extended it out. Other then that it is very good and I live the rest of it especially the face.
Looks likl a mutaed version of the Incredible Hulk , but your fucking good artist !
