just put mine in with the full steering wheel column mount. lovin the oem+ look of the lights, texture, fitment, etc. easy as pie to install. responsiveness is dead on.
All things being equal, you might be correct, The needle movement is primarily affected by its weight, its built-in counterweight and its weight distribution not solely by its size.
However in this case, the lag is because of the stepper motor. The electronic sensors and the programming involved to smooth the needle movement cause it not to react as fast as a mechanical gauge.
The volume in this vid is too low, barely audible with everything turned up.
