@degauzed I said "no, guesses, please", and got three answers! Well, today I KNOW that the soloist is Ken Carson. There's a website devoted to Bob Nolan where this fact is confirmed
This was recorded March 1946. The singers are Bob Nolan, Tim Spencer, Lloyd Perryman, Ken Carson, Hugh Farr, with Karl Farr and Pat Brady on instruments. The tenor voice is most likely Ken Carson, although Lloyd Perryman was also a tenor.
@nmurray1944 Two of them, Sgt. Lloyd Perryman, and, Sgt. Pat Brady, had served in WWII.. Was Ken Carson and Shug Fisher still with them..? I've always been a fan of the Sons Of The Pioneers..
Hugh Farr had another lead on a Pioneer song called "There's Power in the Blood", that is in an old 78 album I have, but I have not heard it on Youtube.
I wish they had people with this talent around now

Thank you for your comment, but when I saw them at the Lone Star Ranch, I'm sure it was Tim Spencer. This was about 1941.

As Hugh Farr was a favorite of mine, I had never heard the song "Power in the Blood" If you could email me a copy, I will put it on YouTube.
