Alltho sitemap.xml is now a standard we shouldn't disregard natural indexing. Because most of the online sitemap generators do not allow more than 500-1000 URLs in the fitemap (for free) I've made my own online sitemap generator which allows up to 20.000 URLs and it's free of charge. a site map is a listing of all the webpages on your site which the search engines use to crawl your page.

(it makes it easier for people to find pages on your site.)

Hi Jimmy, Thanks for a great guide to make a better google-profile.

When I had confirmed my sites google profile on google webmasters site, I made a test-seach on google. It showed the search result almost as i wanted it. But one of the sites was shown as a sub-page link (one level pussed in). It is the site about history, and I want (if any) the page Contact to be a kind of promoted subpage. Can I set witch sub-page has to be promoted?

Just from what I've tested on some of my sites it was within 24 hours but it's multiple factors that do this.

There is no way of making the google crawler visit your site faster through code. Ways to do that are sitemaps/increasing back links/making site more optimized/submitting to social bookmarking services,but these all take time too. Unfortunately you can't make Google crawl your site whenever you want.

I haven't messed with blogger but I am assuming that you wont have full access to your site as it may be a hosted service. Unfortunately you won't be able to change any coding on that end. If you have a domain I don't mind helping ya out.
