K&N Cold Air Intake. if it doesn't already have it. also you should get a 2.1 Kenne Bell supercharger they are sick! if you go to the K&N site and pick out your car then they will guarantee a certain amount of horsepower. if you provide proof that it didnt at least give you that much horsepower then they send your money back but you keep the filter. also if the 2.1 kenne bell supercharger is pumped up the max psi i think its around 200 extra hp? dont quote me on that one though. nice car! :D

headers,underpullies ,Xpipe, 373 in the rearend ..and chip it after that i would look into intakes,throttle bodys ect ect....the dumbass below has no idea that u have to build a bottom end before going whipple or kb supercharger unless u wanna throw a rod threw the block ...even cobras have to build bottom ends after 5-9lbs of boost 03-04 cobras are a lil more tougher and direct bolt on but for a GT rebuild bottom end to take the abuse new rods and pistons on that 2v 4.6 or pay for it later

Dude, I've got the same car but I drive it to death. I have 160,000 miles on it and everything except brakes and tires are original. If yours is stock then you must add a CAI, but make sure you can get it in and out of the fender hole, mine is too wide. The BEST thing you can do cheap are underdrive pulleys. You will SHIT A BRICK at how much quicker the car is and it is only an hour swap. Next thing I do is cast iron lower end and a kenne-bell sc when I get the money

@maestas04gt Yes but it is a pain in the ass to drop the filter down through the wheel well when it has to be removed and cleaned. I'd cut the hole bigger but I want the body to remain stock.

@592220 Dude you can barely feel the difference of Under drive pullies and a CAI. I've got them both on my car and you will not feel a difference. They are both supporting mods. They only make a difference when other real HP mods are added.

@2003slvrgt Sound weak with the stock pipe. I've never known Borla Stingers to drone much, but if you are concerned about it get an aftermarket X-pipe with cats. It will be louder with much more roar, but no drone. IMO LT headers, an O/R X-pipe and Stingers is one of the best set ups for a Mustang.

I'd throw on a pair of MAC LT's, catted MAC Prochamber H-pipe and a K&N FIPK. You'll have the best sounding GT in your area, for sure. These are the mods i have on my '03 GT coupe and everywhere i go i get commented and complimented about the sound. Dont have any vids posted of her yet as i JUST recently purchased the car and it's cold as hell outside. Come next summer i'll have a vid of my car ready for yuh.

If you're saying that it will have a little more Horsepower in the top end, you're saying that it will have more Torque. You're contradicusting yourself, really.

Horsepower is calculated from Torque, and revolutions per minute..

Horsepower = Torque X Engine RPM / 5,252.

What he means is that an X pipe flows better. An X pipe is really better suited for higher RPM operation, due to the ability for a faster exhaust gas velocity, due to increased flow over an H pipe.

Don't get an o/r x pipe... sounds shitty! For sure go with an o/r h or catted x pipe either sounds great. Also a tint would look good cause of your added mustang decals

Sounds good, maybe a high flow X pipe. Or an off road X pipe if you want, and some 3.5" tips. That would bring the tone out more. I'd also say a lowering kit and aftermarket wheels. A light bar would look great too being a convertible.

Hey I have an 04 GT and I recently put on some used Stingers myself and I love the sound. I have the stock rims with 245 tires but my right endpipe is VERY close to my tires which will be a problem later when I mount wider wheels. Can you tell me whether your right end pipe is like that too so I can figure out if it is a factory problem or just a problem with mine?

Hey there, I went and looked and my right pipe does come closer to the wheel by about an inch and a half. BUT I think that the bend is far enough back so that the tire could never touch it. Does your cat back have the borla piping on it or did someone redo the piping since it's used? Keep in touch, i hope i can help you figure this out

Ok you will have plenty of clearance for aftermarket rims and wider tires i have a 10" rim and 275 all around on my 02 GT and have no problems. Next I would go with an off road X pipe, throttle body and plennum combo, and a cold air intake. I could give you a whole list but if you're really interested get a hold of me and I'll hook you up.
