  • That pineapple looked ripe and ready to go. Once they move from green to golden in color they're ready. Every morning In the blender I'll put in 32 ounces of fresh squeezed orange juice, 1 pineapple and a big handful of organic spinach (which you can't taste) and a bunch of ice which makes an awesome tropical green smoothie. At 64 oz total I'll drink 8 oz every hour for 8 hours which helps minimize any hunger pings that my fruit breakfast and lunch don't cover. Eat lots and enjoy!

  • @KennieFocker that sounds great! i will def have to try that. i need to find good ways like this to hide my greens because, i can eat fruit all day, but i can only have so much salad before i want to barf! lol. thanks!

  • @kelleyjane07 Yeah, for smoothies I keep the mixture about 70% fruit and 30% greens and can't taste it at all.I'm like you not big on the greens, but since going raw I've had more in one week than in all my life thus far. I've found that kale, romaine, and celery are also undetectable so mixing them around will get different vitamins and minerals moving through you. Sometimes I'll add a young thai coconut's (about $1.50 at Asian markets) water and "meat" to the orange/pineapple smoothie: yummy!

  • @KennieFocker i made a pineapple smoothie with coconut water, some frozen fruit (mix of strawberries, mangos, and papaya), and some spinach.... it tasted good, you could hardly taste the spinach, but the consistency.... ug! i blended it and blended it on the liquify setting forever and it was still chunky... i couldn't bring myself to drink it! i think what i'm gonna do is eat fruit monomeals until dinner and then have a large vegetable salad and just experiment with the dressings

  • You're very brave starting this when the holiday season is coming up... ! Nice selection of fruit. Avocados were really helpful for me (as was coconut) when I was feeling hungry and missing "regular" (as in Standard Diet) carbs. I was told by a fruitarian friend that what you crave is what you're eliminating from the body at that time. I found that interesting because the cravings for me were strongest during the initial detox phase. Look forward to hear how you do and very good luck. Enjoy :)

  • @ZenAmbient i know right!? i didn't even think about the fact that i'm doing this right before winter and the holidays! :S thanks for the luck, i'm gonna need it lol
