  • who is the female voice?

  • @alexanuchid I think it's Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac

  • Half of what this song implies times 2 (in 2 differant ways IOW) = 1

  • A Classic!A Fan 4 Life From East St. Louis, IL!!!!!:)

  • Graduated from high school June 1978...songs from this era bring a mixture of emotions

  • @kygal1960 I heard this song everyday, it seemed like, when my Mom drove me to school in second grade. It brings back memories for me too. (I graduated 11 years after you.) Great song.

  • @kygal1960 Ditto. Except I graduated 5 years after you.

  • fuck

  • just makes me smile & think of my friend Eddie.

  • I first heard this song around late 70's I think. I never knew who sang it. It's been about 20 years now since I've heard it. I've been searching for a long time.

    Thank you

  • Stevie...Enough said... Classic!!!!

  • Heard this song and spent forever looking, then forgot too add too favorites, and looked agian, still worth it.

  • This song brings back memories. I was doing my National Service in the Royal Netherlands Navy at the time. Thanks for posting : )

  • One of the best duets of all time along with "Guilty" by Barbara Streisand and Barry Gibb and "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" by Elton John and Kiki Dee. The 70's rock!

  • I love, love, love this song. So amazing!

  • this is what we call, "Americana"....

  • I loved this song as a little girl. My memory may be suspect now, but from what I remember radio did not seem as segregated back then.

I can remember hearing this song, Blondie and Barry White on what I believed to be one station ( my father was controlling the dial - so who knows). Pop, Rock, R&B all in one place. As it should be. Good memories.

There's no way this gets splayed on the R&B stations I listen to now.

  • @Shaolin325 Your memory is not suspect. That's the way it was in the 70's. Music was universal and I miss that. I am a African American and I grew up loving Steely Dan, Hall and Oates, The Doobie Brothers, Bee Gees, Barbara Streisand, Fleetwood Mac, Elton as well as Earth Wind and Fire, The O'Jays Aretha Franklin and The Commodores. Music was all one big melting pot. These were the days.

  • @MrKevin619ism makes me wish for the 50s when the white music was the best

  • I HAVE LOVED THIS SONG SINCE I WAS A CHILD. I THINK ITS ALSO A NICE WEDDING SONG.

  • Seriously this is as good as it gets. One of the truly GREAT duets in contemporary music. Amazing the sound quality that you get when two artists can actually sing and hold a note without needing a bucket to do so.

    Brilliant and timeless.......

  • great song

  • Memories ... whenever I got to Joe's house, I'd have him play this album for me. I miss Joe, he was a true "Friend" - somehow our paths took us down lonesome roads away from each other, wonder where he is today? wonder if he knows I still love him? - Thank you Mr P for posting this and taking me down MY Memory Lane ...

    xxxooxx

  • Here it is 2010 and this song sounds great as it did in 1978. That my friends is timeless music... not this trendy crap now.

  • Kenny and Stevie sound amazing together.

  • I love the sound of Stevie's voice and of course Kenny is great too! This song always makes me feel good! It gives me hope!

  • Love this song as much as I loved it in 1978..

  • Hit #5 pop, #9 AC in Billboard. God bless!

  • I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS SONG!!!! great duet between stevie nicks and kenny loggins! i love the part where kenny loggins hit that note, "daaayy by day, we can see" at 2:46~~

  • Their voices weave together so beautifully and compliment eachother wonderfully! This song is soooooooooo throwback......I live for these good old songs...when music had alot more substance! This song was written so well and performed even better by these two!....I will always love this song because I used to sing it to my friend on the way to school!

  • This song makes me think of you Sire. Philadelphia/Medusa style. (and get any crazy Poseiden ideas out of your mind)

  • This song bring me fond memories when i was a kid. thks for posting.

  • You're welcome :)

  • @MrPinoyrock kenny loggins could have played in the passion of the christ

  • @aidhaf, this song also brings me fond memories, and sad ones too. I love this song because it reminds me of a family trip to Sacramento. My grandmother died shortly after, so the song is happy and sad at the same time. I'll always remember her sitting in the passenger side of the car, while I sat in the backseat singing along with this song, blissfully unaware of what was to come.

  • @melpeanut1 sorry to hear that but hope everything is fine. yes, i also love many kenny loggins songs and many artiste from the 70s n 80s.

  • One of my favorite Kenny Loggin's songs! Thanks for posting!

  • You're most welcome! :)
