that was an amazing landing! last time i was in a plane and it landed, i think the pilot screwed up cuz there was a loud thump on the ground. but the scariest landing i've been in was in Aruba. holy shit!! the runway starts at the end of the water so we were rly close to the water, and i swear i was hugging my dad's arm because i didnt wana drown. but we landed correctly on land. thank you soo much pilot Jeff!!!!! lol
real nice video of the landing at civil twilight. hard to capture good videos in the evening. I love flying at Austin, those runways are beautiful! I fly out of Signature, i trained at Streamline Aviation in the Diamond DA40. 17L/35R has been out of service for almost 2 months now. The ILS went down, they finally got GPS approach happening, but there is only 5k ft available. There is a 1 bar VASI/PAPI on the left side of RNWY 17L. ever since the ILS went out it has not been up either.
I.ve flown N413ES, N733CP, N67796, and N4951A...sound familiar??

I just love runways with ALSF-2 and TDZ/CL. Was there a VASI/PAPI? Couldn't see one. Beautiful video!
