I'm 100% sure they just loved the song as much as you DD fans do and so they wanted to sing it too, just like you've done I'd wager. It's beautiful music so just enjoy it! I like this version of this song. The instruments are fantastic and the arrangement is pretty nice. That said, i think the singer is a bit too much. Teenagers nowadays prefer this type of alternative rock singer, but i can't stand how this person pronounces the words alive,survive and you.(I still like his style though) Of course teenagers would prefer this version more. Duran Duran's (which i prefer more) is targeted more to an adult audience while Red's cover is more for the ears of teenagers

I think I lean toward liking the original version better, but only because I usually do enjoy the original versions better than their covers. That doesn't mean that I don't enjoy cover songs though! And Red's cover is amazing, and I definitely appreciate what they've done with it! The song definitely fits their style. I'm sorry... I grew up in this generation of music, but I believe the original is just beautiful... It speaks levels... Not that this is horrible, but I grew up knowing the original and even saw the original band sing it in concert... To this day this song moves me in ways I cannot describe... I don't usually hear covers better than their originals, but this way better than the Duran Duran version, by far.
Red, on the hand is incredible, they got so much emotion and so many emotions in their music, it really makes the music alive. Yet their so unknown/underrated, which may be part of the reason why they are so amazing. It's crazy how this track is so Majestic and bright, but on the same album you've got songs like Take it all away, which is so dark and desolate.

@50CaI The beat is too slow for a chase scene. I do love Red and have gone to a concert. But the beat is just about the same pace in every song... slow(for rock). I do agree though that there music should be in movies... but during the part where the hero is trying to fight back to gain the upper advantage.

@AceTheSniperBorger The books you are referring to (the Apocrypha and the Pseudopigraha [might not be spelled right]) were removed from the Bible because, to the best of my knowledge (which is somewhat limited), they weren't God-inspired. Now, you keep saying that Jesus didn't exist, or if He did, He was just a man, yet you don't have any evidence. Have you read the inter-tesamental books? You have yet to disprove that Jesus exists today and is God.

@AceTheSniperBorger First off, who cares how tall Jesus was (and not everyone thinks he's tall, but like I said it doesn't matter). And second, you say Jesus wasn't real, yet even secular historians agree that He existed at least as a man if not as the God that He is. The Bible is a lot stronger (and a lot more accurate) than you think.

I'm sorry... I grew up in this generation of music, but I believe the original is just beautiful... It speaks levels... Not that this is horrible, but I grew up knowing the original and even saw the original band sing it in concert... To this day this song moves me in ways I cannot describe... Call me weird, but I love Duran Duran...

I don't usually hear covers better than their originals, but this way better than the Duran Duran version, by far.
Red, on the hand is incredible, they got so much emotion and so many emotions in their music, it really makes the music alive. Yet their so unknown/underrated, which may be part of the reason why they are so amazing. It's crazy how this track is so Majestic and bright, but on the same album you've got songs like Take it all away, which is so dark and desolate.

@waldo9254 they have really good songs such as Death of Me, Breathe Into Me, Never Be the Same, Shadows, Start Again. If you like Linkin Park, you will more likely like Red. Personally i think ever single one of there songs could be like in a movie. Like a chase scene, workout scene, crying scene what have you... haha

@50CaI The beat is too slow for a chase scene. I do love Red and have gone to a concert. But the beat is just about the same pace in every song... slow(for rock). I do agree though that there music should be in movies... but during the part where the hero is trying to fight back to gain the upper advantage.
