If you want a nikon buy a nikon d90 with 18-105mm and 70-300mm lenses this should get you started well

nikon d60, kitlens (come wiht it), 55-200mm vr lens. and a battery grip so you can use ur camera for several weeks without turning it off. that just my recommendation cause nikon is better than canon

Is that why they surveyed 90% of Americas Freelance Photographers and 88.6% of them said the only reason why they dont switch to Nikon is because when they bought their gear in the 90's Canon was the big thing. But Now Nikon has caught up to it and is even better when it comes to ISO and PQ and stuff like that but the only reason why they dont is because they already have their gear in Canon but 88 percent! that about 70 percent of Canon Users in America who prefer Nikon over Canon.

Canon has cameras that beat Nikon's by far... like the 1dmk4 , 7d and 5dmk2... just test for yourself like i did...

1dmk4 ISO results suck compared to Nikon. Canon 7D, worst camera yet. You can only fit a certain amount on a cropped sensor and 7D has too much causing the PQ to be noisy. 5DM2 seems to be the only somewhat reasonable OK camera by Canon. Canon is a thing of the past and Nikon is coming in better than ever. The new D300s beats the Canon 7D due to better ISO and better exposure. Nikon D700 DEFFINETELY better than 5Dmark2. 5d mark 2 pics ten to be too noisy

ok you are just a nikon fan and you just can´t see something else....

Did you test the 7d hands on? well i tested and i put high quality glass on it and the image quality beats the d300s by far... Canon 1dmk4 has better af than any nikon, it´s faster than any nikon (10fps RAW 14 BIT FILES not 12 bit like nikon when shooting at 9fps), and it is just a fast camera ...Canon 5dmk2 beats ANYTHING that nikon has in Image quality...

By the way canon shoots video at 30fps at 1080p nikon does not.

Nikon is that type of brand that updates a camera only in the video mode and it still cant do 1080p video... that sucks...(by the way i don´t care about video but it's a nice feature to have)...

If Nikon really thought that DSLR's really need 1080p then it would. Photography is about photographs not video. Its a nice feature but nice enough to compare to other cameras. Its not a must have feature. A nice one though. Nikon's 720p is good but 1080p is better. Their both more than enough. Just because it has great speed doesnt mean its better. And I own Canon 7D, 50D, 5DMrk2. and I own Nikon D3x, D700, D300s, D60. And by far I enjoy taking Nikon with me. Mybe it just my personal preference

if u take a picture with the new Nikon D3s and the New Canon 1ds mark 4, I doubt image quality will be really noticebly different. Their both equal and awesome camera brands, Nikon was made by Photographers and Canon was made by engineers. If one was really better than the other than one of them would be outta business by now. For example. If Canon was better then Nikon would be outta business by now and vice versa. Both excellent cameras and same Image Quality...

DSLR is photography camera, not videocamera. Nikon is better for wildlife photography and nature and Canon is better indoors.

well i think the af-s 70-300 isn t a really good lens cause it doesn t has a lensfoot.. well and it s really heavy.. so for such a weight it would need one.. but.. well.. it s my point of view.. but I want zhat SIGMA xO... perhaps gonna buy it.. 10-20or24.. who cares it s a WIIIIIDE WIDE ANGLE lens^^
