@dirtbikermonkey4 it's actually even more than you think. Aside from excelling in HS, you go to college for 4 yrs, and then to dental school for 4 yrs. Then, you do a 1 yr residency as a general dentist. Then, if at the end of all of this, if you're among the top 1-2% in your class (really smart) and score in the top 5% in the country in the NBDE, then you go through an orthodontist residency for 3 yrs. orthodontists deserve more respect than they get. they're very smart, very qualified people.
if i wanted to my singer/rapper/artist/actor of some kind do you think my teeth have to perfect? i have pretty wierd teeth at some angles and i dont know if i want to spend my money on getting braces again (yes again). I was thinking of invisalign but i was hoping for suggestions...yes no maybe so? i feel like it could affect a career that COULD happen know what i mean? i dont want anything in the way. should i post a video???
Biggest secret of Dentistry are Endotontist,80% of them make up to 70% more than Orthodontists...
Still, all Dental Specs are very competitive,so be sure you're in the top of your class to enter these.
It's not strange to see an Orthodontist,OMFS,Prostho or Endo make well over 600k/year working 4-5 days/week...Cosmetic procedures made Dentists a place of choice for high income, making primary care physicians look miserable, even when working 70-80hours/week.
Orthodontists make big bucks because not only they have to go to Dental School for 3 years plus 3 years of special post-orthdontic training. Prosthodontists (those who make dentures) have to go through similar training. Orthodontists and Prosthodontists also have to pass rigorous examinations to be accredited.
She's pretty hot.
