  • William Shatner as a Saint...

  • LOL...

  • it's weird seeing shatner speak another language.

  • The same damn music plays every time I try to speak Esperanto! Saluton amikoj! Mi volas lerni Esperanto sed musiko estas malĝoja!

  • Ej! Ŝatnero! Neniu komprenas vin. Ne parolu pli.

    Dankon.

Ho! Kaj lernu de via 'fratino'. Ŝi parolas bonege!

  • Ej! Ŝatnero! Neniu komprenas vin. Ne parolu pli.

    Dankon.

  • Kvankam la gramatiko malfunkcias malgrandan, min deziras min povus estas afiŝita en unu kompleta unuo, prefere ol malmuntita.

  • @rustynotebook Via Esperanto estas abomena!

  • So far Ilke this, it LOOKS great, like an Ingmar Bergman movie, and Shatner's arrived so now I'm hooked.

This 'Esperanto' tho, for an 'International' language it seems very slanted towards Spanish.

  • The basis is Latin. For me, it sounds ugly like Italian, unless when Shatner speaks it. He makes it sound good.

Lojban tries to be equally rooted on the the six most widely spoken languages: Mandarin, English, Hindi, Spanish, Russian, and Arabic. Sounds way better than Esperanto.

  • shatner pronouces very bad esperanto, so I can't understand it, I have to look at the subtitles.

But lojban is spoken by nobody. The only international language that rules is Esperanto.

  • @Bjokac actually... English is the only international language that rules. Esperanto is as useless as Lojban, a hobby.

Modern Hebrew is the most widely spoken constructed language, spoken by more than 7 million people.

  • I believed english is a national language... a national language used for international relations doesn't rules. I call that egemony.

Watch my videos and tell me if the language I speak and sing is useless.

I met all my last girlfrineds in esperanto meetings, i think if you are from Brazil you can imagine the ambiance. Such an ambiance is in Europe nowhere to find but in the esperanto world. (I am french, actually, president of the french esperanto youth)

  • @Bjokac Add to that that Lojban can't work as a living language. It is entirely prescriptive, rigid and therefore unable to evolve. It is impossible to loan vocabulary from other languages since every word must adhere to a specific form and be officially approved of by the Logical Language Group. Forming new words with its inadequate ways is highly complicated and can't be done spontaneously. Its grammar is so strict and complex that it is nigh impossible for a human being to speak it correctly.

  • these actors suck at speaking it, so don't base your assumptions of the language off of it.

  • @IIIIFile13IIII I don't. I base it on the radio transmissions and videos by esperantists on Youtube. As a matter of rule, esperantists completly ignore how to speak a language fluently, when speaking Esperanto. They just speak it syllable by syllable, like someone learning English.

  • @Eikinkloster "The basis is Latin." Groan! No, it is not! Typical of people who complain about Esperanto not to know the first thing about it!

"Lojban tries to be equally rooted on the the six most widely spoken languages ..." And fails, just like it fails to be an actually working language.

  • @TomSFox "Typical of people who complain about Esperanto not to know the first thing about it!"

man, I speak Portuguese. I know Latin when I see it. The lexic basis for Esperanto is nearly all Latin.
