  • Ahhh! ThankGod I bought a GM car and helped these fellas out...Otherwise They just might have had to ride Commercial like the rest of us :O

  • American business people are greedy; care about money; and dont give a fuck about people lower than them. FU CEO's

  • The problem with many of these large companies is that they firmly believe their product is consumable (regardless of the product - cars, printers, software, etc).

Once a consumer starts to realize they're being forced to buy some piece of junk over and over, they get smart - and with the markets becomming more and more global, it's far easier to find a competitive product.

So, ironically, these companies make consumable products and by virtue have themselves become a consumable company.

  • The entire world economy has been based on Americans living above their financial means for the past 40 years. As a result, a small number of people, CEOs and politicians, have become millionairs. The whole thing is a pyramid scheme and it was bound to crash. I'm not an economist but things are bound to fail when 5% of the population controls 50% of the wealth.

  • I'm not sure what the numbers are in Europe, but in the United States the numbers are actually that 1% of the population earns 90% to 95% of the wealth in this country.

  • you are abosolutely right on this its a pyramid scheme.

  • This is the dumbest shit ever and just goes to show how much the idiots in congress and the media are unable to use any logical thinking. Lets see, you're running a corporation with plants and dealerships all over the world, and these ass clowns want the executives to fly commercial so that a 3 hr flight takes ten hours. Perhaps the government and unions destroyed the company and not the CEOs

  • Fuck GM!

  • Long live Ford. Bye bye GM.

  • I heard that china company,Nanjin automobile

is goin to purchase GM with ccp`s help.

China has already started american invasion.

  • very good coverage of news.

  • NOOOO WAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!

The White House and congressional Democratic negotiators have reached a conceptual agreement on a proposed $15 billion automakers bailout package, according to senior administration officials and a Senate Democratic aide.

  • oh and honda reported a 32% loss in american sales...

but its not the economy's fault that the big 3 are down in sales..(hope you caught the sarcasm)

  • does anyone realize that for every 1 million cars that japan and china imports, only 40,000 american cars are exported to them. When the towncar is sent to china, we have to take apart the whole car, be shipped in pieces, and we have to pay to send people over to china to put them back together.HOORAY FOR FREE TRADE...and these congressman are bitching about them flying in privately, while they do the same shit..BUT HEY LETS BAILOUT WALLSTREET WITH 750 BILLION..AND THE CREDIT MARKET STILL BLOWS

  • Chrysler already received a bailout once and is now privately owned. As much as GM and Ford aren't perfect they have made tremendous gains and Chrysler chose a different path.

Check out my latest channel video about why Chrysler is doing so poorly and should they receive a bailout . . . .

  • I just want to take a vacation with A.I.G

great bail out on the big banks

  • I think they are scum. But truthfully, do politicians not get on corporate jets and etc. do the same thing to all of us? At least these guys are asking for the money. The fucking politicians just steal it right in front of our faces.

  • Where is the bail out for the families of America, the bailout for the hard working americans, not the CEO's.

  • I never though I would hear the day that GM and Ford says its the consumers fault for buying foreign cars.

Im sorry but that is bull...I wouldnt walk millions of people to lose there job, but let the Ceo's sell there houses, there cars, there jets, there limos, and take the money out there bank..

They want to take the credit and get the profit, but they dont want to take the credit when there losing profit!

  • Arrogant, gluttonous, scum! They are so stupid they act oblivious, like they deserve to fly on multi-million dollar corporate jets while the companies they represent are in shambles, completely destroyed! They have no humility-greed will always be in their hearts. I say seize all of these conceited fu*kstick's assets & leave them with nothing but a pair of shit-stained panties. Burn their homes out & then hand them & their lazy wives a toilet brush & a mop. Force them to clean beshitted toilets.

  • I would have dressed the senators down to their shoes. Do they forget about the 10's of millions of tax revenue brought by the auto industry? Senators nor Presidents create jobs. As a business owner I know it is those who dream, desire, drive for, & wish better for their families security that create business, employment, and tax revenue. Forget assisting GM for not finding a niche in the market - they wanted to be everything to all. Let German $ assist Chrysler. Ford is cash wealthy.

  • "voiceofinteligence" is absolutly right. I agree 100%. But I have no hope that anything good will come out of this situation. Our representatives in Washington don't really care about what's good for the American people. It's all lip service. They only care about votes, and getting re-elected. If they cared about the car industry and what the consumers wanted, why did the federal govt shut down the men who created the electric car back in the 80's. Watch the movie death of the electric car

  • The ONLY way to fix the auto industry in America is for them to file bankruptcy, DUMP THE UNIONS and re-start with quality products at reasonable prices. The most important part of that is to DUMP THE UNIONS. Labor unions destroy every business they touch by demanding wages and benefits that businesses cannot support. Of course democrats will vote to bail out the auto makers, because the democrats are bought and paid for by the unions. Sharpen your pitchforks, America, and light your torches

  • I disagree ! Merge all the carmakers and get sombody like Carlos Ghosn to run the new company. I do agree though about getting rid of the unions, they only support lazy workers!

  • One thing you overlook, in your obvious anti-union fervor, is that if these companies go bankrupt, millions of jobs will be lost due to the domino effect.

Easiest way to fix this is to temporarily nationalize the boards of these giants, fire the executives, replace them with competent people who can form a realistic business plan. Hold the current morons accountable.

This isn't about unions, this is about structuring your business around reality, not some anti-union fantasy of $1 a day wages.

  • Perhaps would it not be better then to use this money from the bailout to help these workers find new means of employment other than at a crappy bankrupt car company that really doesn't deserve public money to save them from ther own incompetence?

  • As a feel-good measure, perhaps.

But getting that to work would take longer and cost much, much more than restructuring these corporations.

Besides, the effects on the economy would be catastrophic, so it's not just about the jobs, it's about our financial stability as well.

  • Oh! And here I was thinking the Unions might be doing something useful like demanding that their workers be paid a decent wage which might afford them a standard of living ... let's not even ask for a *reasonable* standard of living but just a standard of living and silly things like guaranteed safety in the workplace and maybe ridiculous nanny namby pamby things like paid meal breaks so that the employees can work better. For shame on you!!

  • You're WRONG! These CEO's r better than us. The other 95% of us r just lazy sacks of shit who love paying taxes to support other lazy sacks of shit on welfare. These CEO's worked hard for this privilege! Like dissolving people's IRA's, moving manufacturing plants & jobs to foreign countries to avoid antipollution & child-labor laws, firing good people & consolidating their jobs so the average work week skyrocketed to 60 hours... etc. Praise God for their great leadership & the free-market! :D

  • What are you complaining about??? Thats the american live. Why does everyone suddenly start to criticise about this only in bad times.

  • Son... whole books have been written about the negative consequences of economic inefficiencies at the management level of major corporations. So actually many of us have been complaining about this for a while now, but now's our chance to point out how the rest of you were naive & did not see that this would lead to an economic catastrophe. Probably didn't read those books huh? Read the Bible a lot? Do you read much at all? Any college degrees? Not trying to hurt your feelings, just askin' :D

  • People who try to show off that they have a lot of knolowge about anything are not more than fools, If you read a lot and have college degree ... then you might have read about this before. Anyway the bankruptcy of one of thoes 3 automakers, would be an interesting lesson for all high level managements of all major corporations
