Bob Costas is so knowledgeable and well-spoken. He was dead on when he said this. Jordan, Malone, Stockton, Hornacek, Pippen, Kerr, they loved the game. And that's the difference between them and the curent NBA players is that they love themselves, not necessarily the game. The current players make so much money, you have to wonder where winning a championship really fits in their list of priorities. It certainly seems like it's not near the top.

People are too quick to gloss over the fact that being an NBA player is one of the most grueling day-to-day sports you could ever hope to play.
