  • Get a popshield

  • More powerful and also sophisticated than FaceGen.

  • Cool software even tho it must be fairly old now!

  • what formats the program save?

  • will you tell me that can we make a 3d body from this software? if no then from which software can i make 3d body?

    And Reply Fast Please.....

  • Hello Word!

  • Creepy Voice O.o

  • Software is talking, not a real bitch!

  • @RUL1S88 YA U R RIGHT..!!!!

  • is the geometry going to be quad or triangle? By the way, if anyone wants to make $ with your 3d models check out cgworld(dot)com. You get an instant payment from your buyers.

  • i'll download it just to make trollface 3d

  • Windows xp!?

  • It is possible to create 3D face from a number of photos automatically! Just use PhotoScan (agisoft.ru/products/photoscan/). You can also export you model in a number of standard formats.

  • 5:24 Churchill has been morphed into a cross-eyed Klingon. Quapla!

  • Right eye, fail...

  • THANKS FOR SUBSCRIBE

  • Microsoft SAM's Girlfriend?

  • LOL at 4:20 he looks high! Ironic.

    Right eye says HERP DERP

  • its biggie smalls

  • In the preview picture of the video, Mr. Churchill appears to have a blond mustache.

  • I thought the same thing British Priminister, WC.

  • 2:04 lol

  • facegen all the way

  • "When we launch FaceShop 3.5 we are presented with an empty screen first"

I was half expecting you to go off on an existential monologue from there. Your voice seems fitting for that.

  • Is that Winston Churchill?

  • @SanderPatrick no, its george bush

  • @SanderPatrick yes

  • @kypoppa William Howard Taft . 27th US President .

  • @ShenaFilms Incorrect, it is definitely Winston Churchill.

  • @ShenaFilms your wrong google images its Winston Churchill

  • @ShenaFilms [solarnavigator (.dot.) net/history/winston_churchill (.dot.) htm ] there youl find that image. but anyway william howard taft doesnt even look like this!!! so i have no idea on why you think so.

    snap! you got pwnd.

    the case is closed

  • what is the file extension of the file?

  • If you are looking into 3d but feel you do not have the skills to make your own head, (car, dog etc etc) NEVER use a wizard like this, this is crap and your just cheating yourself out of experience. Get Zbrush and find some tutorials on sculpting, and retopo's in there FIRST. Any studio are artist worth mentioning will never use this in there workflow because it will only slow them down.

  • @enger123 agreed. i am a beginner but i keep trying! my work looks bad though, looks nothing like the reference.

  • @12345franny What programs are you using?

  • @enger123 Blender.

  • @enger123 well you're right. But, for example, i know 3d modelling and i can make a head in 3ds max or zbrush. And i can also have fun with this wizard. Of course, it's not for movie models but it's good for fun and it saves alot of hours of work. So i am interested in it even if i won't work with it. Sorry if i said something wrong(gramaticaly).

  • @enger123 Hey Enger, I have to disagree with that statement, at least partially. Zbrush is probably better (I'm not too familiar with either program) but also most likely more expensive. Nevertheless, even this program is infinitely faster at creating a good 3d model than doing it from scratch, which many artists still do. I've seen video footage of both programs and both seem good. Anyway, those are my thoughts =)

  • @Matsuemon13 No problem. You have to use these programs to understand how important it is to do it those ways, and if your talking price, blender is a program which is free / open source. The best modelers, (they work hard to get there) don't touch these because it would make things more difficult, those guys get jobs and are paid well.

  • @enger123 Your right this isn't for people learning 3d, but as I've witness first hand, major companies do use crappy software like this in low priority areas where the emphases is quantity (e.g crowds) as it only take 2 minutes to knock out a model.

  • @enger123 That kind of narrow-mindedness commenting is against the flow of technological progress. Sometimes a goal might not be about being an artist but about the research and exploration on the look of a character or any object. A phone is not the same as an in-person meeting, but that does not make them useless. Software that speeds up the process of modeling a face might not fit into the paradigm of being a worker bee, but it does show the radical leaps that technology is making.

  • @NoahHornberger I am sorry you feel that way; however, lets not compare apples to oranges. Second, the working bee would use this... 3rd, to get that detail (which is not much) you could push around a default head in zbrush and project the texture on probably quicker. Sir, have you worked with any 3d software yourself?

  • @enger123 At the core I just find it more fun to support and enjoy the new programs people are making instead of trying to promote a 3d-worldview. Yes, there are many ways to model a head. How can we say what tool will benefit or harm another person's project, unless if operating from a narrow set of assumptions motivated out of personal interests? What I learned at Pixar (for Wall-E) was that unconstrained creative exploration in all directions is what creates the things people love.

  • @NoahHornberger I must say, I have found some of your shading work and it is very impressive. :) I've been wanting to touche Renderman for a while now. I still must respectfully disagree though. I would like to explain my side a bit more though, there seems to be 2 kinds of people in the 3d world, 3d artists and programmers, both are very talented in there own ways. This seems like something a more programmer minded person would use for there personal project.

  • @enger123 While that be true (and I prefer 3d-coat to zbrush), this software demonstrated in the video seems to have given a very quick approximation/silhouette of the face you're aiming for, which could be imported to voxel/sculpting programs afterwards perhaps. While it is cheating, it is IMO a little faster.

  • is faceshop models compatible with blender?

  • @6daylater If you use OBJ's yes.

  • @enger123 OK..

  • Lol derpy eyes

  • umm does anyone else feel like GLaDOS is making the tutorial

  • fail. it doesn't look at all like W.C. Fields

  • @rib109 Fucking retard that's George W. Bush

  • @masonkiller666 ur joking right?

  • @paopao7878 why every fuckin american kid is searching for a free version just fucking download the cracked version from thepiratebay

  • @changsifon Because not everyone wants to be a criminal?

  • Could this model convert to IGES format file?

  • it looks so fucking old....

  • @DarkGlobusO probably because this is 4 years old

  • Could the future of this technology be the ability to super impose your head onto a video game? e.g. everquest?

  • OMG, Winston Churchill transform to Bob Hope.

  • fail

  • @crunchyguyatpluto ..lol..

  • No skill, will copy+paste will show the same result? LOL

  • Drawing the lines, that's sorta like cheating, isn't it? The program is still dependant on the human's vision abillities to process that picture. If it was good program it could determine where to draw the line by itself.

  • Cool !

  • ima download it , plus this will helps you if u are like a game designer or artists!

  • LAME

  • incredible

  • We shall bite them on the features, and NEVER surrender! X)

  • can you import the 3D faces to programs like maya or 3D max?????

  • its tempman!

  • john lock :p

  • she sounds like Yunjin Kim O.o

  • Hey would this work on any image? Like a gun image from google images ?

  • @jonathantrooper716 ummmm nooooo

  • Why would you draw a line over the yellow face @ 2:35? >_>

  • plz help!! the only textures pantomat export is diffuse and bump from face, where is the other ones? from eye and teeth?

  • Already I can think of a million uses for this program.

  • I hope you can access it or make it into a face map

  • Here's the serial, works for 5.1

    ABCK967229K42A2

    Damn I'm a criminal :P

  • @shady74gangsta4eva No you're not , you shared a string of characters , i don't see anything wrong ...

  • @shady74gangsta4eva fap fap fap fap fap

  • @shady74gangsta4eva yes you are

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks, but I'll stick with sub-d's.

  • 4:18 the 3d guy look somewhat like John Locke from LOST

  • All these sort of samples seem to use faces with the mouth closed.

Can any sofware do this sort of task, with a 'smiling' mouth?

    (ie: teeth on display)

  • Can you get this software to export a flat image of the "3d" image so it can be used for in game faces in games that support it?

  • @Arcto yeah, it can export to ojb, but I think it is high polygons, so... but dunno, I will try this too

  • amazing really.i cant help learning it

  • this is so much better than facegen

  • @paopao7878 Yes there is its CrazyTalk 6 you can make pictures talk too.

  • Looks pretty awful.

  • This is a lot of manual editing for only a faked 3D model! I accidentally discovered this company: Visualsize that can construct all kinds of 3D models - partial or complete - using photographs collected from random locations around a 3D object. They do real faces with the correct texture and structure from digital photographs - and there is no manual intervention at all! The technology of Visualsize is really cool and I haven't seen anything like it.

  • why are you using microsoft anna?

  • can you tell me please how can i make the hair for the character made by facegen porgram?

  • but what is the advantage of generating a 3d object with an image as texture if the shape is predefined?? Everyone has a different face and face shape; why hypothesize you could use one 3d object for 6 billions of different faces on earth...

  • i asked for "new" but nobody answered :(

  • wtf?? win98??? come on it takes over 15 min to do an ugly 3d face

  • do you use it only for face? Can you make other objects 3d with this program?

  • With free facial recognition software that can work in real time (see Logitech and HP webcams) it seems odd to have to draw the facial features. The human brain can instantly recognize the features of the face, even sometimes seeing them in abstract/random textures on a wall, ceiling (or tortilla). This tech isn't perfect, but it should be used to start off with and then let the user refine the selection.

  • You missed the chin

  • we can rebuild her we have the technology but hey lets make her voice glitch

  • @paopao7878 why don´t you just crack it?

  • is the narration text-to-speech or a bionic woman?

  • Facegen is another software that will also do this, but once your model is made, it also preserves your face texture, color, facial hair, and allows u to alter your facial expressions and phonemes (the way ur mouth moves when u talk). Then you can use it with lip syncing software or export it to games if u purchase the software. The free version (which doesn't expire) even allows you to save faces in the native FaceGen format. This looks pretty cool tho too, only facegen does it all for you.

  • @paopao7878

Try Faceworx it's a bit complicated getting it to look right and it requires a front and side image but appart from that it's more or less the same sort of thing but in a free kind of way^^

  • Not the same thing...you won't be able to make your living on taking a photo and use this program to make a head out of it. Either learn to draw or learn how to model. Or both...this is a cheap shortcut. This is usedby people with no skill. If you are serious about 3D learn how to model yourself...

  • @blackwahagn what

  • you can probably export to obj or 3ds format and import in blender. But this is just a cheap shortcut. If you want to get good in 3D you should model that face by yourself.

  • Thats like saying if you want to light a fire you should rub sticks together-use a lighter. Advancments and progress.

  • does anyone know if this can be used with blender or not

  • wats the link?

  • Cool!

  • su useless

  • Voice is probably computer generated

  • @keksinnot nah ... you can hear her opening the mouth XD computers dont do that XD

  • OMG that guys face on DAZ would be funnnnnnnnnyyyyy XD

  • Nice video, I'll give it a try.

The audio gets screwed up some times near the end BTW.

  • hum , ignore my commment , just got to the part where she said it xD

  • can u export this to use in 3ds max ?

  • can it?!

  • i would rather make my own texture, but the model is great.!!!

  • Is work with Cinema 4D too ?

  • sorry for the bad syntax is not English and translated it with google ...

a doubt, if I have photo of front and profile can be used to make them better ....

  • now you made a 3d head?, ha ha good luck with that

  • So you do all the work constructing a 3D model, and the program maps the image to it as a texture. Is that completely unremarkable to anyone else?

  • @grampaj0e it would be if you understood the software. you select several reference points, and it morphs the default model to match the picture, and it applies the texture for more realistic-ness,

  • If you actual knew anything about 3D graphics design you would understand...

  • Muhahahaah Son Pc Il chante :)))

  • DON'T SOUND TOO EXCITED TO DO THIS TUTORIAL NOW!

Christ, robots are taking over tutorials.

  • @Whistt Maybe they are deaf or have a speech impediment, ever think of that?

  • your computer is noisy

  • Any open-source software like this?

  • 3D Churchill. Impressive.

  • it looks like as if it would be in half life

  • intresting....

    turned out nice enught....

I once photoed a friend and modled his fase in maya it turned out similarly nicely.. exept i never did anything about the eyes... so they where just creapy black sockets X3

  • Read the description.

  • not old. Just old theme to make the pc work faster

  • CORRECT :D

  • would it be possible to import this head into counter strike, or any other game for that matter, so I can shoot my friends lol...

  • kinda you would have to take the images of there faces cut them out and make them into a skin

  • Is FaceShop better than blender for faces?

  • of cource it is

  • depends if you like modelling proffesionally or not. use blender (or better software like 3ds max or cinema 4d) if you want to make your own, but this is better if you like to let a computer do it.

  • FaceGen is nice

  • I'm so surprised at how many people assume this is a text-to-speech robot. It is in fact, just a woman speaking very clearly and slowly as this seems to be the kind of tutorial that would be on a cd rather than a personal youtube user making one.

And there seems to be some issue in the audio which is causing parts to skip randomly at speed.

But it's incredibly clear that it is not a "robot" voice. You can hear breaths on the mic also for further proof.

  • u are right plus there are puffs of air in the mic

  • Does anyone know the name of the program for the womans robot voice? Its pretty good.

  • how do you rotate in faceshop? need help

  • great vid

  • This robot woman sounds exactly like Sun from 'Lost'.

  • It's a robot!?!?

  • yes it is actually

  • Lofl that's what I thought too haha.

  • Looks like Bill Murray when done. :P Cool program...

  • winston i dont give a fuck

  • same question. can i animate?

    nice video

  • can i create another things like beds cars? can i make animations with it? thanks
