I can't fucking believe they broke up... right before their Australian tour as well. What that tour represented to me was my dream at the cost of $160. This song sings about memories and that is all they are now; at least they still live on through song...

@jmdb1994 Broderick never wrote anything for Nevermore. He was just a touring musician. Steve Smyth was the one that helped write This Godless Endeavor

yeah, he played with them for a couple years i think. he never actually got the chance to record with them, but he did tour with them a lot from 2000-2003 and 2006-2007, then he got a call asking for him to join megadeth, and the rest is history (:

warrel sounds better live than studio, its unusual for a singer to sound better live. im still not use to his vocal style but i gotta admit it he does hav a damn strong voice in th chorus!!!!

well the song is about his gf.. some shit like she left for a religious cult and he never seen her again.. but would re-appear in his dreams... something like that... so yea.. he would get pretty fucking emotional when singing somethign about his gf.. whos most likely dead... fucked up stuff man

@cheesetoes the whole album is pretty much about his girl who kills herself. he keeps seeing her in dreams. then he offs himself. listen to the cd and really pay attention. Its fucking mindblowing

I'm pretty sure that it's about Warrel Dane's Ex-girlfriend, who joined a religious cult and he eventually loses her to the cult. now I'm not sure if the cult killed her or if he just never heard from her again, but I know for a fact it's about a girl who joins a cult, I've heard that from multiple sources. And yes, he does have reoccuring dreams of her drowning. Pretty dark theme which makes this album so damn interesting.

It definitely sounds like it to me, it just adds that much more sadness to this song, its great to see that Warrel puts so much emotion into his singing not only on the albums but live too
