@katiexkhaotic He used a 40 volume bleach or something. I keep forgetting but I did a vlog on it and explained all I knew. If your hair is dark and not super healthy at the moment I wouldn't do it as it can go super wrong super fast. But talk to a colorist in your area! They'll know better than I do. Just be careful! :)

@DrunkenPiirate I don't know how exactly. But I do know that it's all about the toner. That's what makes it white.

@DrunkenPiirate basically, if you want to cancel out the yellow undertones, you have to use either a blue or purple toner (blue would be for silver and purple for white). I really recommend (LaRiché) Directions Silver, I just used it myself and it worked beautifully! Michael James (xxmichaeljames) gives a really detailed/full explanation (but not the actual procedure) on how to achieve that colour C: Hope this helps and good luck on your quest!

I went out and bought some white toner by LaRiché Directionz I'm getting my hair cut this thursday and then going for the white look so fingers crossed it will work as I've recently bleached my hair really light! I've used Directionz before when going my blue hair it worked great but it didn't last long, any solutions? I've looked everywhere for perminant white hair dye/ toner I can't find anything. @DrunkenPiirate In my humble opinion, it's best to go for the semi-permanent - it might not last that long, but the colour is SO much better. And if you want it to last longer, try looking for the shampoo Touch of Silver by Provoke, it's super cheap (L'Oreal also has sth. similar, but more expensive) and helps maintain the silver in your hair. You could also try mixing your conditioner with a little bit of Silver toner, it helps with keeping up the colour! Hope this helps C:

So I went to my stylist today to get my hair done and I asked her about getting my hair to that color and she told me it would take 3 treatments and about a week to 2 weeks to get there....so I was pretty disappointed and she estimated it would be around $300 and up O.O and I'm only one shade darker than you and my hair is as short as yours...so I'm thinking shes full of it any advice?

@tmaduri Hmm. For most colorists they'll want to do it in a few treatments because when you do it in one like I did you have a higher risk for things going wrong, hair breakage or falling out...etc. I'd maybe continue searching for a colorist. Make sure they've done this big of a bleaching before. Make sure they're extremely experienced and know what they're doing because otherwise things can go very wrong, very quickly. Haha. I believe mine was around $150/$200 so it will be expensive.

@spinjoh Thank you :) I would bring in pictures. And be sure to stress that you don't want a golden blonde, you want it white/silver. I got really lucky with my colorist because my sister had gone to him for a while and her hair was the color I asked for. Since my hair was so dark it REALLY damaged my hair. My hair was really fried. But I personally didn't mind it. Haha Annnnd I actually really liked the roots. It made it cool. But everyone has a personal preference.

@cngowens It's all in the toner. You should see if you can find a professional colorist to do it for you! You may have to search around a bit but it's worth it! And I don't have the color anymore, no. I had it for 2 months or so and dyed it back/cut it off because I just couldn't stand how dead it was. But it was super fun while it lasted! xx
