I still have fond memories of the many , many hours of my childhood spent on the first (and to a somewhat lesser extent) sims 2. I had all the expansion packs :D. Maybe its because im older now(Almost 20) or because theres just something different with the 3rd one but i just could never get into it =\. Oh well atleast i still have my memories and the soundtrack on youtube to feed my nostalgia.

Man, I remember finding the Sims way more fun than I find it now. After many years, I said to myself: "why not get Sims 3? Maybe some of that will come back" and that game is now collecting massive amounts of dust on my self.

Not only did I spend massive amounts of time building and managing my family's lives, but I, also, spent major portions of that time listening to this song. I was not at all surprised when this song popped right away as a fit for a certain time frame of my visual essay :')

My Sims 1 doesn't work with Windows 7 anymore. Although I have the all of TS3's expansions except Ambitions, I can't bring myself to play as much as I used to play when I had TS1. TS1 ftw. <3

I found the build mode music a tad sad, most of the time, and tried to rush my business there, then eagerly getting to buy mode to fill my box house with stuff. But then buy mode music got too annoying, so I went into live mode to turn on my sim's radio, to listen to their groovy beats, haha.

The Sims never gets old ;). Somehow its musics are so soothing that they are suitable for just about anything! A relaxing music. Great for studies and relaxing or just chilling out ;). Been playing this game when i was 8. And im 18 now and still am playing it ;). Thumbs up for The Sims! :D!

Oh, man. I remember this song with such fondness, I used to deliberately open Build Mode just to listen to it. I remember falling asleep on the keyboard listening to this after coming home from school or just listening to it whilst finishing off my homework. The Sims just isn't the same any more. I could play this game from 6 in the evening to 6 in the morning. Now, I can only play for three hours max.

Easily my favourite of all the tracks in any sims game, though generally, I did just prefer the Sims 1 soundtrack. Somehow, the Sims 2 and Sims 3, while technologically infinitely more advanced, just don't seem quite as 'grown up', and part of that is the music.

More technologically advanced, sure, but The Sims was something new, it must've taken a lot of creativity and smarts to come up with all the ideas of The Sims 1. Sims 2 and 3 are just mere improvements to graphics and features that the Sims can do which to me is not a fraction as impressive as The Sims 1.

I remember getting to stay home sick from school, and being so excited having the house to myself to play sims all day in my pajamas with tons of snacks :) This music is timeless, takes you back to the good old days in a second. Beautiful, but also feels sort of unreachable because you know you can never have those days back. Time seemed to pass much slower back then, when you lived in the present and didn't care about worries and deadlines :(

@jakester0852 The graphics and amount of things you can do are different between Sims 1 and 3. Sims 1 was simple - your sims did not age and they did not have aspirations. Yet you rarely got bored with Sims 1, because of the variety of things each expansion offered. IMO, it was the charm and wackyness of the game which made it so memorable. If you wanted to get into it, though, you'd probably find it difficult, because you'd compare the lack of things it has with Sim 3.
