Who the hell would speak such bullshit about a group called Vampire weekend being the best band of this decade? In my opinion Vampire weakend really sucks; they have nothing ground breaking or original about them& their music should never ever be put into the same catagory as The Smashing Pupkins or Veruca Salt. James Iha is a way better guiarist then v guitar and this part is a fact. Never the less The Samshing Pumpkins and Veruca Salt were some of the greates music of the 90s and of all time.
Has Nina just fallen off the face of the earth? Her website is gone, her MySpace is not playing any songs, and there is nothing new about her on Wikipedia.
I have found no current information about her after 2006.
I know she is a full time mom now, but has she given up on her music career altogether?
this vid goes into my top of youtube ever . im fan of corgan and his music im 30 and would lisent his music un till the day i die . LoL Fucking Truht Corgan is distrubed caracter XDDDDDD
the HELL you say! Rock ain't dead! You won't find it in Smashing Pumpkins or much of Metallica's new shit...I'll give you that. You just ain't lookin in the right places.
Yes i think 90s rock is the best i mean The industrial Uprising and The Arternative scen was made stronger afther Rem in the 80s....so yeah not the Typycal Paramore witch sucks! The only band i really respect from the 2000 is A perfect circle No more!....
i was going to say, tool is probably the only band that's still going... 90's are my favourite, grunge, death metal, alternative rock... all of it is good.
90's? Are you mental? It all started with 70's rock! Most bands of the 90s WOULD NOT EXIST if it weren't for bands like Led Zep, The Who, Boston, Black Sabbath....shall I go on?
well like stone temple pilots and bush are the original post-grunge bands, but the new stuff like nickelback, creed, theory of a deadman, seether.... those bands.
ahh shit yea, they suck balls...theory of a deadman made me laugh so hard when i saw one of their crappy videos on TV..just an angry nickelback...and nickelback suck...as for seether and creed, i pretend they dont exist
It's 2010 so the best album of this decade is definitley Contra by Vampire Weekend so far and I suggest you check it out. But great bands from last period are The Walkmen, Opeth and Porcupine Tree for example.
@Gamagachee WTF? Best album of this decade? I've seen Vampire Weekend live and listened to the album, it's interesting I guess if you like their sound, but there is absolutely no way it is groundbreaking or even close to records of the decade, let alone year, in rock.
BILLY CORGAN IS MY HERO, HE IS WHY I STARTED PLAYING GUITAR AND COMPOSING AND IS A PART OF WHO I AM TODAY. THis guy is a genius and the fact that he shows it thru music is even more appealing it warms my heart to no there are true good people out there who know wat real music...
nah, most bands just dont know how to rock and take the easy way out, which is go alternative (poppy alternative not nirvana alternative) and get famous. noone has a good music mentality anymore
Why must a person have "the guts" to say to Hetfield that rock is dead? The truth is ALWAYS the worst, isn't it? But he has to hear it. Cred for Corgan. Metallica is dead for sure. Pumpkins 2007, too. But still Pumpkins was the worlds greatest band in circa 1988-1994. That's for sure. Nina Gordon still kicks ass!!

haha ok i agree those bands are sweet but what the fuck it's not like music would have just stopped being if those bands weren't popular.
it would just be different, could be better or worse. we can't just know that.
the pumpkins are up there with any of those bands in my opinion and i grew up on those legends. but they did their own thing and they kickass.
