I hope in Halo:4 they reveal that Six, when fighting the elites, escaped severely wounded. Then he/she runs in to an old UNSC medic who has retired and is healed. He then performs secret missions for the UNSC and is kept secret until a bigger threat is revealed, the forerunners. He is then teamed with Master Chief, Cortana, and the Arbiter. Cortona is givin a human like computer that she will have all abilities to fight other than words.

simply put, the reason i like halo more than cod is this. cod has a good plot and fantastic action, but the single most memorable part of reach for me was when six was looking out at the burning buildings of new alexandria through the smoke. there was something visceral--something that spelled out that spartan's thoughts. the thoughts were of lives lost and fallen hope. the thoughts were of jorge's sacrifice and the inevitable sacrifices of many more. cod never had anything like that moment

there really is something poetic about reach. the way so many of them sacrificed their lives for the greater good, and then 6 decides to do the same. remember the pelican? remember the option 6 had. that spartan chose to stay behind--chose to die for the sake of others. it was the same choice jorge made, and the same choice carter made. i will admit that kat died pointlessly and jun ran away like a bitch (though he is cool) and that emile just slipped up and forgot he was good at killing.

A jackal is a real problem for any Spartan in the books while you can fucking one hit them in a game. So what I am overall saying is, books more realistic than the games and the games will make many things different. Once they make a book about these Spartan III's then you can talk shit about Spartan II's.

@thacookiemaster No, not really, Gamma was considered to be the best Spartans ever by Kurt, but the other two companies had to take a shorter and yet more effective training due to the need of Spartans in the war. He even states so himself in Ghosts of Onyx.

And for your information, they are around 30 years old, Kat and Noble Six being the only exceptions and thanks for proving my point, they had weaker armor and yet they mowed down both Covenant and Insurrectionists without problems.

I think Six was a weak character. He didnt have any personality, i know Bungie made it that way because of you own spartan look so they didnt want to make a personality that you didt like at all. He never talked and he wasnt particularily strong or brave. Excep for the moments before he died, when he kept fighting the seemingly endless forces and the elites. He never gave up. That was the most awesome moment in the entire game.

This game was kinda messed up. Capt Keys & The Pillar of Autumn never went into Reach's atmosphere. they were battling the covenant flag ship off-planet. Except for John 117 & two other Spartans who assisted him on another mission, on-board an orbital docking station, the Spartans went to Reach to stop the invasion.

Problem was somehow communication was lost after Keys ordered the Spartans to pull out. When John 117 came back from his mission & heard the update he wanted to go to Reach.

@Izanagi1997 Noble Six is a survivor from a former squad that was killed. His title, "Lone Wolf" is what separates him from the other spartan lll's. Master Chief is, as far as the books and games go, not responsible for any repopulating of soldiers. Everyone is selected from a specific gene pool and undergoes the spartan program prior to Reach falling.

6 just happens to be tough as nails.
