I like the Darley Horse in here. Big fan of their stable. Not to mention great sires.My favorite Darley would be Elusive Quality, and Hard Spun. Quality was a very nice runner. A solid solid Miler.
Funny to look back on these comments a year later. Discreetly Mine just won this race today and looked almost as impressive. He's going to be just a sprinter, though. That's going to be a great division to watch the rest of the year.
i did watch it. candyman is good but he aint better than quality. go ahead and underestimate him. quality gunna be in the winning circle at the travers and im gunna be laughing my way to pik up my winnings (even though he prolly gunna be a favorite and not win much) the florida derby was an ultimate race by quality and he didnt even try in the amsterdam
nope. he would not have got past qulaity road... candy man ran a great race.. but quality was the best horse in the race.. and hes gunna beat rachel in the haskell cuz quality road is a super colt. he already broke florida derby in faster time than big brown. and now he broke amsterdam which stood for 30 years... well there goes jess jacksons pland for the year lol
Rachel may not go into the Travers, instead he may face Kensei who won the Jim Dandy. He's still got a lot to prove to be on par with Rachel, right now Rachel has gone a longer (mile and three sixteenths) then Quality Road (only a mile and an eighth.)
you arent factoring in that big brown was the only good 3 year old last year. he would never challenge rachel. watch rachel a little harder. shes much more professional. she doesnt cut off horses coming on her outside like quality. candyman would have beaten him if he didnt cut him off. quality road isnt that good. he wont win the travers. he wont even finish on the board. he wont beat rachel or summer bird. watch the stretch of the florida derby harder. he was struggling to keep going.

Yes, but the "official" fractional times are incorrect. I just hand-timed the race and got fractions of 21 2/5, 43 1/5, 1:07 1/5 and 1:13 2/5
