This then takes the load off of the gear clusters and you can pull the lever so as to engage the next gear. With a "flat-shift" you do not need to feather the clutch as there is a load cell in the gear leaver which when you pull on sends a signal to a small computer wired in-line with your ignition and for a nano-second cuts the ignition thus unloading the gears and then you can change up. The "Full Monty" is an electronic system that blips the throttle for you when shifting down.

Regular H-pattern (so non-sequential) straight-cut gearbox that only needs the clutch to change in 1st gear and then only to change down using the clutch and heel-and-toe to 'Blip" the throttle. All that sequential means is you have to go through the gears 1 to 5 (in a 5-speed) just like a motor bike. On the way down you can depress the clutch and bang on the lever 4 times to get from 5th to 1st if you want to. None electronic sequential's need you to feather the gas as you pull the lever.

Ok, it has strait cut gears, isn't sequential and has a clutch, but you don't really need to use it all the time to shift up.
