While you are about it, faNCL07, you may CONVENIENTLY ask my FELLOW SINGAPOREAN user/jemdude22 about OUR GREAT NATION'S CONSCRIPTION AND RESERVIST OBLIGATIONS vis-à-vis HIM.
"There are currently 300,000 [Chinese-born?] Canadians in Hong Kong alone."
Dear ZHLu, thanks for sharing that piece of information with me. That is one of the differences between mainland China and Hong Kong in terms of their demographics. I certainly take pride and joy in being made aware of that, given my ancestral linkage to Hong Kong. That is one of the reasons why Hong Kong is hailed as the Asia's World City, perhaps.
I will not go into another debate with you on my linguistic ability as I don't think you are fit to discuss the topic with me.
Back to your RESERVIST OBLIGATION, I think it is good for you. I am sure you have learnt how to appreciate the opportunity for a short break from your work in the army camp. Heard some of the camps are air-conditioned nowadays. Not sure if there are broadband services for you to use though. ; ) Enjoy!
One cannot be discredited solely because the person is not liable or elected to be liable for army conscription and its subsequent reservist liability. Don't forget before NS was made mandatory, the forefathers of Singapore also did not serve NS but they contributed tremendously in helping Singapore become what it is today. If you are so narrow minded you can go on to lash out at all famale citizens and question why they are pardoned from NS.
And, if serving the army is such a pain in the ass to you, you can make your own choice by renouncing your citizenship and taking up one somewhere else where you and your son(s) will no longer to subject to army conscription and its related liabilities. I believe there are Singaporeans who have done so by migrating to Australia, U.S. or Canada and have given up their Sg citizenships. Like I said, everyone is entitled to choices unless you are incapable of creating options for your own life.
Hongkies ... every care they have (for their sock-drawer citizenships) is ALL CARE but NO RESPONSIBILITY. HONGKIES. Chinky commies in 北京 -- hear ye, hear ye.
Are you jealous that you have not had one? Thought you were an Australian PR, why don't you take up their citizenship so that you can travel on an Australian Passport? Maybe that will shut your mouth up.
Oh yea, speaking of Australia, I am going to Melbourne for holiday soon in a couple of weeks so I might not have time to entertain you. Lately it's been so hot and humid in Singapore that I have to resort to make an escape to somewhere cooler!
You may be the sort of person who tells a complete stranger on a public internet forum to blame your mother for the fact that you are not subjected to conscription and reservist duties in spite of the fact that you are a SINGAPOREAN GUY, jemdude22.
However, I STILL wished your ancestors well. I just hope you do not hold YOUR FATHER responsible for the fact you were born in the Britty brackish toilet of around seven million people at the foot of the Pearl River Delta which the Chinky commies have so sweetly EMBRACED.
I cannot stop you from calling me whatever you please, jemdude22, but you can at least do me a favour by giving 蘇錦樑 my heartiest regards in relation to that link I posted and what you just stated.
Yes, ZHLu, you are right. You cannot stop me from calling you an idiot. : ) or scumbag, perhaps? Whichever you like. Because I also know nothing can stop you from discharging your mouth diarrhea here. : ) You are sick, so please go see a doctor or a shrink to be more specific, and get yourself psychoanalyzed BIG TIME! : ) Still, my most heartfelt condolences to your sick mind. : ) LOL
Under the circumstances I think 蘇錦樑 made the right decision of giving up his Canadian citizenship for his political status in HK. It's is a personal decision and we should respect him for that, as long as he knows what he wants and what he is doing to his life. Just like many Singaporeans who've given up their Singapore citizenships in pursuit of their American dreams, Australian laid-back lifestyles. People acquire foreign citizenships, people also give them up sometimes. It's life!
we dont see hong kong and china as a unity, because hong kong is different enough and qualitified (either geographically, culturally or economically) to be an entity.
yeah, hongkongese is the representative of cantonese or southern chinese and hongkong language is also the representative of cantonese, and representative of traditional or typical chinese language!
before i knew that MTR means mass train railroad. ill always had a personal sign: MTR into a race game ima MTR-Racer and the crew (clan) is called MTR_Racers XD but the crew name means MasTeR_Racers :P
Hahaha, LOVE IT. Haven't been to Hong Kong in 10 years, immigrated to Canada, a lot of things have changed. They have fences and gates now, less suicides on the railways.
Let's start from the very beginning Though there's plenty of places to start If you want to get around You can get all of the town Just by stepping on the ground onto the M-T-R MTRKCR said Just follow me: Tsuen Wan, Tai Wo Hau, Kwai Hing, Kwai Fong, Lai King, and Mei Foo, Lai Chi Kok, Cheung Sha Wan, Sham Shui Po, and 太子道 (change trains) Shek Kip Mei, Kowloon Tong,
