my jungleflasher doesnt read my drive ive tried many ways i have the via6421 chip but it still doesnt find my ms 25 drive, what should i do or what do you think might be wrong? ive seen on many videos that usb comes out on the name part but ming doesnt?
is the "ix-ltv1.0-sammy.bin" firmware only for flashing the new "slim" Xbox360's? I flashed my older Xbox360 with iXtreme v1.5 I think and it doesn't seem to work as well. So I wanted to do v1.6 or what ever the latest firmware is for the the older 360's. So should I find v1.6, v1.61, or this new "sammy" firmware?
xbins can't connect to the server for me. Is there anything else I have to download beforehand or any other place I can find and download the firmware?
Hey i am a bit new to the xbox i own a hacked PS2/Wii/PS3 and would like to add the 360 to my lil arcade collection.. I have all the files needed to make this happen just missing a SATA cable and was curious if the cable that plugs the drive into the xbox would work or does it have to be a specific brand of SATA cable? Any replies would be greatly appreciated and for those of you that just like to talk $#|T to anyone and everyone asking for a lil help or advice can go lick a hairy guys ass!

Hey, it's worth $1 paypal dollar is anyone can help me! I have a Ts- h943 ms28 drive, Im running XP, I have a VIA sata card. I power on my Xbox 360, get it into vendor mode, Read, Then I write a firmware. I have tried many firmwares from iXtreme 1.51 to LT 1.0 and they all write correctly, It reads ( Verified Good) I then outro the device, shut it down, and plug in the xbox 360s sata cable. I turn on the xbox 360 and it works as normal, but does not play back up games!!! Plays Legits correctly!

so...I was doing this and my sata ports weren't compatible and it read it and did everything else fine, but when it tried to erase and write, it could only erase and not write. So...now I have a blank xbox 360 drive that shows an invalid status in Jungleflasher... :/ I have the key for it though...so, my question is, if I get the right pci port thingy, and a new drive, can I follow this guide and then just switch the key to what my old drives key was?

I am having a problem getting it unlocked, Ok 1st I am using the regular on board sata ports (worked for hitatchi) not sure if that will be ok or not but it recognized the drive. So I clicked Sammy unlock and it says stage 1-3 complete ! than it says opening vendor mode... than says Failed opening vendor mode. I try it through Intro/Device ID and I click yes and power it off really fast than back on and I get .... for like 3+ rows. its a stock drive/Firmware, never been flashed what do I do ???
If some of you are having problems putting the device in vendor mode then burn the activation.iso with imgburn and then let the drive read the disk till it stop spinning and then you press intro/device ID.. it will work!

I ran into the same problem when trying to flash my drive, eject the drive on your xbox, then block it from closing, while doing this, turn off your xbox. Now turn on your xbox for about 3 seconds, then turn on your pc, it should boot fine after that.
Someone please help!! No matter what I do it seems jflasher won't recognize my 360. what operating system are you running? because if it's 7 or Vista then good luck getting it to work. had to pop in my XP disk and dual boot my computer to get it to work.

Ok i flashed a samsung today for the first time,,their old as hell...ok so if any of you have this problem..When ever i would turn my xbox on it would freeze my comp;....Try renaming vmiraid.sys to something else. and uninstalling the drivers and rebooting...try it a few times just some advice if your sammy is freezing your pc up on you...
I am having the "freeze" problem. I am using XP and renamed my "viamraid.sys" file in the winXP folder. Do I need to rename all of them, win9x, winnt40, x64? Also how do I unistall the driver? How do I know what driver to uninstall?
I cant remember the exact way I did this,, i tricked with it a little bit,,,I remember I renamed my viamraid to old...then I uninstalled my drivers by > right clicking my computer>manage>device manager>scsi raid controllers> right clickin the 6421 card>properties>drivers>uninstall drivers then i rebooted> then i hooked the drive up and opend jflasher and it worked. dont quote me exactly on that Because thats all i can remeber iw as about to give up. I do know i renamed viamraid. Just the one in the system32\drivers folder. and uninstalled the drivers and rebooted now I had to try this like twice but then it worked. So I mean thats pointing u in the right direction Sorry I cant be exact here mess with it a few times if u dont get a direct answer and i think u should get it..make sure to reboot after changing viamraid and uninstalling drivers..sorry i cant be exact again.,..just trying to help. hope it does
It seems that my comp is not recognizin the disk drive on any of the ports I select. I saw "Safutballplaya07" at the begging of this said he needed to dopwnload the portIO driver. Is this the same driver as the SATA card?
the portio32 driver usually comes with jungle flasher.. you should see it in the jungleflasher folder as portioinstaller double click it and install that You need to have that installed first so jflasher can recognize your xbox360 drive, also you may see manual install click that and it will even walk you thru it its simple. did u stop your pc from freezing?
I got the flash to go but... my firmware was not spoofed!!! I saved my dvd key and jungle log file. Now my xbox tells me to put in Xbox games when I have. Am I totally screwed? Can I reflash my xbox drive with spoofed iXtreme firmware?
I think what you mean is,, "spoof to target" which means under the firmware32 tab> it will send your dvd to the bottom so you should see your dvd key in two boxes. If you bricked your drive it wouldnt open or respond to anything you did. when you finished flashing did it say flash complete? write verified? are you trying to play a copied game? follow the steps to unlocking your drive> firmware32> load source firmware>load up your saved dvd key>click spoof to target then load target firmware>
jflasher did not put my firmware info automatically into the target section of the firmware tool32 tab. I draged it into the first line there in the target tab within the firmware tool32 tab. when i did that it gave me the warning that the iXtreme 1.6 firmware was not spoofed. and again before i writed it to the xbox drive. i stoopidly said ok. but my xbox is not bricked so i will try the sppof to target then load target firmware.
i assume i need to click the "manual spoofing" button to the right of the target tab within the firmware tool32 tab on jflasher to do this. is this right?
When i try to flash it now it see's my xbox drive as a m28 smasung, it is really a m25 though. when I flashed the first time i my dvd key was NOT in both spots(source, and target tabs) in the "MTK Flash 32" tab. Also I saved over my original Sam OFW.bin file when I tried to flash it again. Am I screwed? I still have my original DVDkey saved. now when i try to flash it, it see's an m28 and the DVDkey comes up as "7777...". If I put in a game/copied game it tells me to put it in a Xbox360
ok you need put your original dvd key into both slots ok. you cannot leave that out. that is like the brain of your drive. try to go back make sure your dvd key is in both slots ok. if it reads your drive as a m28 or whatever thats a good sighn its still picking up your drive load up your dvd key into both slots. Load source firmware(your original firmware) load target (your iextreme firmware) then continure your not screwd yet
I don't think I know what my "original firmware" is. I try to copy and paste the original DVDkey into the line but it will not take it, just ignores it.
i dont think you saving over it might be a problem as long as your saved. it load up your original whatever you saved over it and then put your dvd key into both boxes. try it..it aint bricked yet. if it was bricked it wouldnt open..so theres still original firmware in there just no dvd key..
It wont let me copy and paste the DVD key into the lines. I try to copy and past it from notepad where I saved it and past into the "DVDkey line and it ignores it.
Ok. I loaded the saved over .bin file. but the dvd key still comes up as "77777..." I try to retype, delete, backspace, anything. It will not let me change the dvdkey info that is in the "Source Tab" on the "Firmware Tool 32 tab". Is there some other way to upload my original DVDkey #? ..... I think I need to buy a new xbox and save the first OFW.bin file all to it self. Arghhhh... Let me know..
I can change the DVDkey by manually spoofing on the "Target" tab, and can spoof as a m25.(which is what I got, not a m28 which the iXtreme firmware now made my drive come up as. wish me luck. I'll let you know
YES. I had to rewrite my Xbox drive back to its origianl self by manually spoofing(wrote in my orignial DVDkey#, selected my original xbox drive tyep in the "target" tab on the "FirmwareTool 32" Tab). Then i refollowed the tut but had to manually load the iXtreme firmware. but HELL yeah i got my original games to load and my backups laod too. tyhanks ""preemz10314"" for you patience and help. WE GOT IT!!! So glad I did not BRICK that mother.....

wave 4 games are the newst games out. like modern warfare 2, tekken 6 and all new releases...See everytime there is a dashbord update (like the new facebook) (or the nxe) games jump up a wave and require a new firmware flash to play...
Activate.iso is a disk u put in before uplay a wave 4 game if your firmware suports wave, (think ps2 disk swapping)..wave 4 firmware is out for benqs and sammys only. as of now...mass ban wav hit today be careful.
activate.iso goes in first everytime you want to play a wave 4 game...there is wave 4 firmware out..your ok if you a benq or samsung the newer firmware has been relieased called iextreme 1.61 you need 1.61 for samsung.. then act.iso isnt needed at all.
no way when there is a ban wave. not playing games before they are released and always stelth patching your games will help you not get banned but things happen....
GREAT TUT!!! SAVE YOUR ORIGINAL DVDKEY. Always save some copy of your OFW.bin file(this is what you read from you xbox drive in jFlasher for the first time), maybe save them as 1, 2 ,3, ect... if you try to flash more than once. If you keep getting "write verified OK' in the end you are ok, just keep at it. SAVE YOUR ORIGINAL dvdkEY AND "SAM OFW.bin" files each time you try to flash, so if you screw it up you can reflash your drive back to what it was. GREAT TUT. THANKS TO ALL.

yea as long as you load up your orignal firmware the one u rote over, manually type in your dvd key and spoof to target you should be ok. do that then continue with the flash good luck
load the samsung 1.6 file and continue on with the flash> I dought your drive is bricked. reboot your xbox once or twice and open and close the tray a few times..your drive may have flashed right..once flashed sometimes the drives act up a little diffrent not reading games the first 1 or two times you try to play them
spoofing your dvd key to target and spoofing your drive are diff...spoof to target meand your copying your dvd key to the target this way you dont brick your drive and spoofind your drive means your spoofing say your samsung drive to make it act like a benq. which i highly dought you did or even tried to do. I dont think your screwed not yet...

When Jungle tried to read or write the iXtreme firmware it gave me a warning that the firmware was not spoofed. When I finished flashing it said flash complete, and flash verified ok like the tut. I tried to play a backup game and a regular game. I will try unlockin drive-firm32-load firm-load saved dvd key-spoof to target ... and let you know. thanks
when jflash gave u that warning sayin ur drive wasnt spoofed all u had to was click yes...and it flashed..sounds like u did it correct..your drives responds when u open it so its def not bricked.. also make sure your drive is level and not crooked or on a slant..that was my problem one time i had ther drive crooked half way out the xbox all i had to do was level it out like it should be and it worked...
and no the portio is not that same as the sata card and you do not have to uninstall it like you may have to for your sata card to stop your pc from freezing when you turn your xbox on

poodle u need the PCI sata card itself... the card is the actualy chipset you install in your pc and then use the sata cable that comes with the chipset to plug into that...SO make sure u get the 6421 chipset pci card ok? it comes with everything u need to flash..
Ok i have flashed tons of drives. I have a samsung that has been flashed before by someone else. I am tring to upgrade the firmware to 1.6 using jungleflasher. I am also using a CK3 to power the drive. I am following this tut to a tee. (I learned how to do all my flashing from these tuts, And they have never failed me EVER) Now i can't get this sammy into vendor mode.Sending Vendor Intro to port 0xF600

I just flashed my xbox and it was successful but when i tried to play a game my xbox didn't even recognize there was a game in it. It just said 'Open Disc tray' I've tried 3 games and 1 music CD.

i think i have to burn the activate iso because when i move my mouse over it it says so. and if i do need to do that, does it have to be a dual layer dvd.
ok com ports are just for lite on drives which is not what you have otherwise you wouldnt be at this vid so dont worry about that, does that answer your question?

I am having a problem getting it unlocked, Ok 1st I am using the regular on board sata ports (worked for hitatchi) not sure if that will be ok or not but it recognized the drive. So I clicked Sammy unlock and it says stage 1-3 complete ! than it says opening vendor mode... than says Failed opening vendor mode. I try it through Intro/Device ID and I click yes and power it off really fast than back on and I get .... for like 3+ rows. its a stock drive/Firmware, never been flashed what do I do ???

If some of you are having problems putting the device in vendor mode then burn the activation.iso with imgburn and then let the drive read the disk till it stop spinning and then you press intro/device ID.. it will work!

I ran into the same problem when trying to flash my drive, eject the drive on your xbox, then block it from closing, while doing this, turn off your xbox. Now turn on your xbox for about 3 seconds, then turn on your pc, it should boot fine after that.

Someone please help!! No matter what I do it seems jflasher won't recognize my 360. Ok i flashed a samsung today for the first time,,their old as hell...ok so if any of you have this problem..When ever i would turn my xbox on it would freeze my comp;....Try renaming vmiraid.sys to something else. and uninstalling the drivers and rebooting...try it a few times just some advice if your sammy is freezing your pc up on you...

I am having the "freeze" problem. I am using XP and renamed my "viamraid.sys" file in the winXP folder. Do I need to rename all of them, win9x, winnt40, x64? Also how do I unistall the driver? How do I know what driver to uninstall?

I cant remember the exact way I did this,, i tricked with it a little bit,,,I remember I renamed my viamraid to old...then I uninstalled my drivers by > right clicking my computer>manage>device manager>scsi raid controllers> right clickin the 6421 card>properties>drivers>uninstall drivers then i rebooted> then i hooked the drive up and opend jflasher and it worked. dont quote me exactly on that Because thats all i can remeber iw as about to give up. But i do know i renamed the viamraid.

I do know i renamed viamraid. Just the one in the system32\drivers folder. and uninstalled the drivers and rebooted now I had to try this like twice but then it worked. So I mean thats pointing u in the right direction Sorry I cant be exact here mess with it a few times if u dont get a direct answer and i think u should get it..make sure to reboot after changing viamraid and uninstalling drivers..sorry i cant be exact again.,..just trying to help. hope it does

It seems that my comp is not recognizin the disk drive on any of the ports I select. I saw "Safutballplaya07" at the begging of this said he needed to dopwnload the portIO driver. Is this the same driver as the SATA card?

the portio32 driver usually comes with jungle flasher.. you should see it in the jungleflasher folder as portioinstaller double click it and install that You need to have that installed first so jflasher can recognize your xbox360 drive, also you may see manual install click that and it will even walk you thru it its simple. did u stop your pc from freezing?

I got the flash to go but... my firmware was not spoofed!!! I saved my dvd key and jungle log file. Now my xbox tells me to put in Xbox games when I have. Am I totally screwed? Can I reflash my xbox drive with spoofed iXtreme firmware?

I think what you mean is,, "spoof to target" which means under the firmware32 tab> it will send your dvd to the bottom so you should see your dvd key in two boxes. If you bricked your drive it wouldnt open or respond to anything you did. when you finished flashing did it say flash complete? write verified? are you trying to play a copied game? follow the steps to unlocking your drive> firmware32> load source firmware>load up your saved dvd key>click spoof to target then load target firmware>

jflasher did not put my firmware info automatically into the target section of the firmware tool32 tab. I draged it into the first line there in the target tab within the firmware tool32 tab. when i did that it gave me the warning that the iXtreme 1.6 firmware was not spoofed. and again before i writed it to the xbox drive. i stoopidly said ok. but my xbox is not bricked so i will try the sppof to target then load target firmware.

When i try to flash it now it see's my xbox drive as a m28 smasung, it is really a m25 though. when I flashed the first time i my dvd key was NOT in both spots(source, and target tabs) in the "MTK Flash 32" tab. Also I saved over my original Sam OFW.bin file when I tried to flash it again. Am I screwed? I still have my original DVDkey saved. now when i try to flash it, it see's an m28 and the DVDkey comes up as "7777...". If I put in a game/copied game it tells me to put it in a Xbox360

ok you need put your original dvd key into both slots ok. you cannot leave that out. that is like the brain of your drive. try to go back make sure your dvd key is in both slots ok. if it reads your drive as a m28 or whatever thats a good sighn its still picking up your drive load up your dvd key into both slots. Load source firmware(your original firmware) load target (your iextreme firmware) then continure your not screwd yet

i dont think you saving over it might be a problem as long as your saved. it load up your original whatever you saved over it and then put your dvd key into both boxes. try it..it aint bricked yet. if it was bricked it wouldnt open..so theres still original firmware in there just no dvd key..

It wont let me copy and paste the DVD key into the lines. I try to copy and past it from notepad where I saved it and past into the "DVDkey line and it ignores it.

Ok. I loaded the saved over .bin file. but the dvd key still comes up as "77777..." I try to retype, delete, backspace, anything. It will not let me change the dvdkey info that is in the "Source Tab" on the "Firmware Tool 32 tab". Is there some other way to upload my original DVDkey #? ..... I think I need to buy a new xbox and save the first OFW.bin file all to it self. Arghhhh... Let me know..

I can change the DVDkey by manually spoofing on the "Target" tab, and can spoof as a m25.(which is what I got, not a m28 which the iXtreme firmware now made my drive come up as. wish me luck. I'll let you know

YES. I had to rewrite my Xbox drive back to its origianl self by manually spoofing(wrote in my orignial DVDkey#, selected my original xbox drive tyep in the "target" tab on the "FirmwareTool 32" Tab). Then i refollowed the tut but had to manually load the iXtreme firmware. but HELL yeah i got my original games to load and my backups laod too. tyhanks ""preemz10314"" for you patience and help. WE GOT IT!!! So glad I did not BRICK that mother.....

wave 4 games are the newst games out. like modern warfare 2, tekken 6 and all new releases...See everytime there is a dashbord update (like the new facebook) (or the nxe) games jump up a wave and require a new firmware flash to play...
Activate.iso is a disk u put in before uplay a wave 4 game if your firmware suports wave, (think ps2 disk swapping)..wave 4 firmware is out for benqs and sammys only. as of now...mass ban wav hit today be careful.

activate.iso goes in first everytime you want to play a wave 4 game...there is wave 4 firmware out..your ok if you a benq or samsung the newer firmware has been relieased called iextreme 1.61 you need 1.61 for samsung.. then act.iso isnt needed at all.
no way when there is a ban wave. not playing games before they are released and always stelth patching your games will help you not get banned but things happen....

GREAT TUT!!! SAVE YOUR ORIGINAL DVDKEY. Always save some copy of your OFW.bin file(this is what you read from you xbox drive in jFlasher for the first time), maybe save them as 1, 2 ,3, ect... if you try to flash more than once. If you keep getting "write verified OK' in the end you are ok, just keep at it. SAVE YOUR ORIGINAL dvdkEY AND "SAM OFW.bin" files each time you try to flash, so if you screw it up you can reflash your drive back to what it was. GREAT TUT. THANKS TO ALL.

load the samsung 1.6 file and continue on with the flash> I dought your drive is bricked. reboot your xbox once or twice and open and close the tray a few times..your drive may have flashed right..once flashed sometimes the drives act up a little diffrent not reading games the first 1 or two times you try to play them

spoofing your dvd key to target and spoofing your drive are diff...spoof to target meand your copying your dvd key to the target this way you dont brick your drive and spoofind your drive means your spoofing say your samsung drive to make it act like a benq. which i highly dought you did or even tried to do. When Jungle tried to read or write the iXtreme firmware it gave me a warning that the firmware was not spoofed. When I finished flashing it said flash complete, and flash verified ok like the tut. I tried to play a backup game and a regular game. I will try unlockin drive-firm32-load firm-load saved dvd key-spoof to target ... and let you know. thanks

when jflash gave u that warning sayin ur drive wasnt spoofed all u had to was click yes...and it flashed..sounds like u did it correct..your drives responds when u open it so its def not bricked.. also make sure your drive is level and not crooked or on a slant..that was my problem one time i had ther drive crooked half way out the xbox all i had to do was level it out like it should be and it worked...

poodle u need the PCI sata card itself... the card is the actualy chipset you install in your pc and then use the sata cable that comes with the chipset to plug into that...SO make sure u get the 6421 chipset pci card ok? it comes with everything u need to flash..

Ok i have flashed tons of drives. I have a samsung that has been flashed before by someone else. I am tring to upgrade the firmware to 1.6 using jungleflasher. I am also using a CK3 to power the drive. I am following this tut to a tee. (I learned how to do all my flashing from these tuts, And they have never failed me EVER) Now i can't get this sammy into vendor mode.Sending Vendor Intro to port 0xF600
