tarsman013, I think it does 3-5 Gs which is not bad. I think it ranks as a meduim class centrifical coaster, about a 6/10. I think if it went any faster the gravity would stress the components too much and since it is not on the ground it's not worth the risk. I think it's amazing & imaginative egineering marvel that someone somewhere said "Lets put an amusement park on the top of a 109 story tall tower". It makes me laugh every time I think about this, yet it is so amazing at the same time.

I would be doing the same thing too if I lived near it slayer544. It is said Ring Racer in Germany is faster, but it looked retarded compared to Kingda Kaa because it is only 1200' long instead of 3200' long and it has slow down pulses in it where as Kingda Kaa is just pure speed, height and adrenaline making it the perfect dream coaster.

Lol, I love the Stratusphere. I went there last shortly after 9/11 so they didnt have the X Scream or the swings on the building yet. I remember it was shortly after 9/11 because the security took a very very long time. Is it still tough to get to the top or have they eased up a bit?

Cubfan2240, I was sad to hear the took the around the stratosphere roller coaster off because of a measly 500k repair bill after ten years of operation. In Vegas 500k is like pocket change however the remaining three coasters live up to more than their legendary reputation and going up is easy. Security only took about one minute to go through. They are very nice & polite & the staff are very friendly.
