I see all the negative comments and trips me out!! Bunch of idiots!! The guy on the bike is the captain!! And most of you morons have never been on a tug. And if you have its some lil work boat. By the way its called an SDM. There is no academy peeps working these boats...
WOW! The Asshole on the bike IS the Capt. I can assure you he is a meat and potatos kinda guy and he definitely wasn't wearing sandles. We had a little time to kill and thought this would be funny. The tug is a Zdrive tractor tug with the drives situated fore and aft instead of side by side. I knew there were a couple in Europe but I wasn't sure where.
Who's the grad school asshole at the helm showing off? Port side to.....no starboard to.....no port side to. How many of these booksmart wheelhouse assholes got a beating?
that is crazy wow I like that does the tug have voith schneider propulsion system?
I was on cruise ship, DP3 Semisub Cranevessel, bulkcarrier, general cargo, chemical tanker, DP2 offshore support vessel, DP2 rockdumping vessel, AHTS tug
I LOVE SHIPS I am Chief officer Do you know how to get a job in the USA as an
officer??? Cause I like the USA too much... I wanna live in Fort Lauderdale!
@rbodell You know, sometimes, there is a lot of time between two maneuvers. The ships traffic in a port is not controlled by pilots or by tug companies...
@ZangLangVang I used to work commercial boats and tugs. When you are not eating sleeping or taking a crap, there is always something to do. When you are paid to be there the owner deserves to get an hours work for an hours pay. There is always painting and chipping, cleaning, checking the bilges, give the captain a break from the wheel, repair lines, make bumpers, improve my skills etc etc etc. It is easy work but you can certainly keep busy. I never had a problem getting on a boat for that.
@rbodell True. There is always work even on a new tug. First order would be to knock that eco bike asshole on his ass. Fuckin million dollar boat and some nut eater is getting his exercize! Treat that head wound with some eco herbs. Next step is to fry some meat and taters in the galley. Eggs and bacon smell sweet in the AM on a working tug. Eggplant , sushi, and tofu get fuckin tossed overboard! People who wear sandals onboard a working tug get what they deserve.
@YaterSpoon86 at least one person here knows what it takes to make a boat operate successfully. If my captain let that yoyo bring a bicycle on board, I would be off that boat in 10 seconds.
@rbodell Truth. Coffee to the wheelhouse, check gauges in the engine room, and plenty of scrubbing and swabbing cause this is our home for many weeks. Heads up on deck and smooth hook-ups and break aways doing shipwork. You know the life man. When the work is done I offer a feast in the galley. Work hard eat like a KING! Roasts, whole chickens, taters with spices or just mashed with butter and sour cream, veggies raw with dipping sauce of cooked with sauce, pizza, lasagna, fresh bread, etc
@YaterSpoon86 coffeee to the wheelhouse LOL. One of my first jobs on a boat was when I was about 14. Just me and the captain on a 4 man shrimper. The captain did the cooking. At one point I was looking for something to do between drags so I washed the dishes. The captains coffee cup looked like it had not been washed in years. This was my chance to make points with the captain. washed it and took him a cup of coffee. yep, picked my ass up off the deck, spit out a tooth and never washed it again
Thats pretty crazy it looked like you were staying in one spot while the boat did all the work. I know from experience how you get that weird feeling of your going to walk right off of the stern while walking from the bow. I could just imagine how weird it felt ridding a bike though? Great vid by the way!
@headmouse We pay almost $2/ liter, so shut up. You have thousands of digital camo dressed butchers in Irak to rob oil for your "mighty" nation, so take your complaint and stuff it into your ass.
@ZangLangVang Really, I didn't know I owned an army. damn wish they would have told me. I don't care how much your paying for fuel. the fact still remain that the price is too high for people to be doing stupid shit like this wasting it. Oh and BTW. you think your prime minister don't have his hands in the oil barrels too? LOL. Yes my friend, he does, he's just as corrupt as the rest of them. They only care about one thing, and it's not your well being.

Took the words right out of my mouth. We're still paying almost $3/gal because of fuel "shortage" and they do this crap.
