My son was about his age the first time I deployed to Iraq and just as cute,maybe cuter but, i'm biased. I'm in Afghanistan now and will be home for Thanksgiving, this time for good. I only just happened across any of your videos for the first time today. They look really well made considering the single camera and similar restrictions.
While some might say having your kid there is making more hassles than its worth I think it's adding some fun. Its a random element that can't be scripted and barely anticipated. Just what will happen?
I have been asked many times by friends, "why do you carry a gun what is it that you a afraid of?" my answer is, I'm not afraid of anything, I hope for the best and prepare for the worst. This usually results with some sort of remark concerning the size of gun and some other thing of size. So I respond to that by saying the Police arrive in minutes when seconds count. I was woundering, what do you say to your friends if they ask?
I think shooters can get away with it on other guns like a glock, but the 1911 extractor isn't meant to work that way. So for top off, always load with a magazine then replace the mag to have a full carry load. Well that's my 2 cents, I haven't seen anyone cover that, you can probably do a better job of demonstrating how that works. what else can I say; I guess it helps that you are supper attractive, though married so we're always respectful of that.
I would like to see some range time, concealment techniques and things like that. On care and feeding of your 1911, one thing that I like to point out to folks, is to always feed the chamber from the magazine. I have seen some guys load a round into the chamber then close the slide, this will result in damage to the extractor.
I like your common sense approach to gun handling; concealed carry and I like that you are using a 1911 in .45. Though I have been a permit holder for over twenty years and a shooter as long as I can remember I find your videos very informative.

3: Video likes: The great information and video demonstrations. The AR-15 and 1911 videos still top the list of my favorites on the subjects.
4: Video dislikes: The 10 minute limit seems to be forcing a lot of content chopping from your videos, premature endings, and hard editing cuts throughout. Maybe more use of part 2/3 videos would fix the roughness?
maybe put links of the companies you refer to in the bottom corner, definitely show videos of you shooting, but also address some of the mistakes that beginners make, shoot a lot of different guns, and don't forget about making more field stripping vids on guns, maybe more handguns, and maybe some other types of guns, either way just keep going strong and all the best of luck to you and your family
How 'bout some EDC option vids? Show us what you/your husband are carrying on a particular day (gun & holster combo) & why you made that particular choice for that day. I know the weather, my list of 'to dos' for the day, etc often dictates how & what I'll carry.

Oh wow.. I have so many stories it would take about 500 comments to tell them all... Short answers: Yes, I have refused sales and seen sales refused. I have seen plenty of denials and even watched a few people get dragged out of the store in handcuffs.
I have loved working with firearms and their potential owners and have gotten very good at matching the two. Five time out of ten my customers come back to personally thank me for finding them a perfect match. That makes me very happy. :D
I have shown your videos to women who wonder about firearms and conceal carry. They seem to be very enthusiastic after seeing your videos and I know that woman who are already knowledgeable in the subject appreciate them. I really think you should cater to women with some videos as you do. It's a good encouragement and it's also educational! it shows people firearms aren't bad and that there are good people who carry them very well.

I have a female cousin who's been shooting a shotgun with trap and skeet for over 20 years, but won't shoot my .357 magnum with .357 magnum ammo because the recoil (which doesn't bother me) scares her.
Begin Part 3 - I think you're an excellent role model for women to enter a traditionally primarily male activity.
A couple of stories -
I have a female friend who has a concealed carry permit (.40 S&W) and enjoys shooting her husband's .357 magnum, but won't try a shotgun because of her fear of the recoil.
I think your videos are excellent they are very good instructional material that focuses on a woman with a child who uses concealed carry. And you do not have a "mouse gun".
Obviously you have a 1911-type pistol and a Wilson is an expensive match grade pistol. I suggest you include a video about why you chose that pistol with its pros and cons. Also what other pistols or revolvers and calibers did you consider and reject. Why?
Begin Part 2 - I assume you do competitive shooting.
I think it would be good instruction for you to do a video of your drawing and shooting, with a discussion of what you are doing, and a picture of the results. This would be both rapid-fire combat style and slow target shooting.
If you own other pistols and revolvers you could include them too. And maybe a self-defense shotgun with 00 Buckshot.
Maybe it would be useful to include some friends or your husband.

I think your videos are awesome especially the holster series and the little guy is just fine in videos like this but when its guns or a serious subject you can get distracted easily with the youngster. Your doing a great job, and the little guy is getting big, hes going to be ready for that Mustang in no time. Cant wait to see the range reviews and shooting videos! Good Work!
Like i said before you are a good role model for women out there. I don't know if it's been suggested before but maybe a tour of the gun shop where you work at?
He's getting big. Before you know it he'll be cringing as you show this old video to all his highschool friends. Personally I think you go a great job of making nice little personal, informative videos from someone who knows what they're talking about. The annotations feature on Youtube is goof for inserting links to other videos or sites into your video. So if you're showing off a particular holster, you can have a button pop up with a link to a video review of it, or somewhere you can buy it.

That'd be great if you could do some comprehensive range vids, i'm all for it.
Being in the UK, firearm use and ownership is highly restricted and handguns are outlawed so owning a 1911 is out of reach unless i emigrate.

Oh wow.. I have so many stories it would take about 500 comments to tell them all... Short answers: Yes, I have refused sales and seen sales refused. I have seen plenty of denials and even watched a few people get dragged out of the store in handcuffs.
I have loved working with firearms and their potential owners and have gotten very good at matching the two. Five time out of ten my customers come back to personally thank me for finding them a perfect match. That makes me very happy. :D

I have shown your videos to women who wonder about firearms and conceal carry. They seem to be very enthusiastic after seeing your videos and I know that woman who are already knowledgeable in the subject appreciate them. I really think you should cater to women with some videos as you do. It's a good encouragement and it's also educational! it shows people firearms aren't bad and that there are good people who carry them very well.

I have a female cousin who's been shooting a shotgun with trap and skeet for over 20 years, but won't shoot my .357 magnum with .357 magnum ammo because the recoil (which doesn't bother me) scares her.

I have a female friend who has a concealed carry permit (.40 S&W) and enjoys shooting her husband's .357 magnum, but won't try a shotgun because of her fear of the recoil.

I think your videos are excellent they are very good instructional material that focuses on a woman with a child who uses concealed carry. And you do not have a "mouse gun".
Obviously you have a 1911-type pistol and a Wilson is an expensive match grade pistol. I suggest you include a video about why you chose that pistol with its pros and cons. Also what other pistols or revolvers and calibers did you consider and reject. Why?

Begin Part 2 - I assume you do competitive shooting.
I think it would be good instruction for you to do a video of your drawing and shooting, with a discussion of what you are doing, and a picture of the results. This would be both rapid-fire combat style and slow target shooting.
If you own other pistols and revolvers you could include them too. And maybe a self-defense shotgun with 00 Buckshot.
Maybe it would be useful to include some friends or your husband.

I think your videos are awesome especially the holster series and the little guy is just fine in videos like this but when its guns or a serious subject you can get distracted easily with the youngster. Your doing a great job, and the little guy is getting big, hes going to be ready for that Mustang in no time. Cant wait to see the range reviews and shooting videos! Good Work!

He's getting big. Before you know it he'll be cringing as you show this old video to all his highschool friends. Personally I think you go a great job of making nice little personal, informative videos from someone who knows what they're talking about. The annotations feature on Youtube is goof for inserting links to other videos or sites into your video. So if you're showing off a particular holster, you can have a button pop up with a link to a video review of it, or somewhere you can buy it.

just the basic full sized stainless model...i don't need all the bells and whistles....i love this gun....it's beautiful...
the scandium ones are surprisingly lightweight, but i'm a stainless steel guy...
