  • Happy belated birthday to my many-times-great-grandaunt Jehanne. Priez pour la France. Et priez pour nous.

  • Joan is what inspiration is. She is the very example of pious and good.

  • I feel terrible for Joan of Arc. After they got her to the impossible the king turned his back on her, leaving her at the mercy of the not to forgiveable church. She died a horrible death .......May God bless her, only she know what she suffered at that last moment.

  • Plus the church should not have punished her. Why should she have been punished for talking to God; I mean that's what the church wants people to do. They should not have punished the greatest female hero for heresy. The people working at that church were blind and the English were brainless, oafs with jealousy and hate. I'm glad they never won another battle after that. (Yes battle not wars and I know they won the Spanish armada but I'm talking of during that time period.)

  • I heard that people raped her in order to get her to say that she was lying. That's horrible that the church would allow that. I'm catholic and I wouldn't have allowed people to do such things. Even if the English did pay the church to convict Joan. That's like the high priests paying to Judas to turn in Jesus. If it's not okay for him it shouldn't have been for the church. In my opinion the Bishop and priests who convicted her should have faced consequences with the pope. That is unacceptable.

  • @mgrox13 eh..? really? i heard she disgused herself as a man when she was captured so then she wont get raped

  • @leoar22569 Well that's what my History teacher told me.

  • My dear brother you have done a great research work but you have mentioned all according to the movie and wikipedia (esp. pics). But actually the Clergy and the Bishops were never against her they helped her by sending away from evil english men guards to the convent so the nuns can guard her. I prefer you should read CBC Review on the film Joan of Arc 1999. If the Clergy was against her she would never be canonized...

  • Joan is such an inspiration for people, She inspired the first acts of French Nationalism

  • @koledy, beautiful prayer, merci beaucoup !

  • :'-(

  • 1:04 might be my favorite Jeanne d'Arc painting ever :3

  • ...and oh. I assume that she was framed for heresy and witchcraft, and was given a captial punishment.

    God Bless her soul.

  • Renowned for her courage and strength, Joan of Arc is such a wonderful saint!

  • This is such beautiful music!! What are the names of these songs? I especially liked the third one.

Je te salue Sainte-Jehanne Darc, la Pucelle de Lorraine!

  • Songs:

    1. Crusaders

    2. Swordplay

    3. The King

They are all from the soundtrack to the movie "Kingdom of Heaven".

  • why did the french save her???? she saved THEM?? what gives??

  • she was a very strong person and followed through as a messenger. then, it became evident that she became spiritually inspired to carry out the messages. she had three ''angels'' to make it happen. ''sainthood'' is a beloved order of obedience. she was not afraid to have been who she was. this is proof that ''god does exist''.

  • Christine de Pisan once wrote: "When we reflect on your person, you who are a young maid, to whom God has given the strength and power to be a champion who gives to France her breast of peace and sweet nourishment and cast down the rebels. See how this goes beyond nature!"

  • Shes my fav saint she shows great courage and she brave and strong willing to to do what she did.

  • Que le Segnieur benisse la France =)))

  • nice vid! What is the name of the first song you put?

  • It's all from the movie "Kindgdom of Heaven" soundtrack.

  • she was a very brave person

  • intersting vid but i dont believe it was god speaking to her.from a historical point of view 5 stars

  • Only God truly knows who was speaking to her:)

  • that is correct because ''joan of arc'' mentioned three different angels, spoke to her. the ''devil'' has a way of using people to track godly ways and an expelled ''devil'' believer ordered joan's execution. that's why joan was a ''saint'' and declared a ''saint'' centuries, later.

  • @blunt1984 actually it was voices of Saint Michael Which Guided Saint Joan Of Arc To Fight Evil English Poeple For The Freedom Of France.JESUS Bless St. Joan

  • @blunt1984 Wise answer. Merry Christmas!

  • god'' uses ''angels'' to send messages to humans. god does not talk to people today like it was in the days of jesus christ and moses. after the modern-day mosaic law, god uses ''angels'' only in our day. however, some declared ''saints'' leave important messages to humans before becoming ''angels'' in heaven. the ''devil'' can kill ''saints''; but he can't eliminate them. that's why ''joan of arc'' was cross-examined in ''truth''.

  • The Catholic Church has never taught that humans become angels. Humans have bodies and souls and angels only have souls. We have different natures. God can speak to people in whichever way He pleases, including the use of angels and saints. Joan of Arc named three saints who spoke to her - St. Michael (an angel and a saint), St. Catherine and St. Margaret (saints, not angels). Can I also point out that Jesus and Moses lived centuries apart from each other!

  • Good Video Blunt! Résistance!

  • Merci beaucoup!

  • She certainly was a woman ahead of her times and very brave for one so young!

    Tina XxX

  • a fascinating story!

  • very well put togeather, the words and picture's and full of information fair play to you.

  • great stuff!!

  • Wow man, I really loved this. The truly Ironic thing is that just yesterday I was at work and 3 other people had been involved in a political conversation. A woman from Haiti,a woman from Algeria, and a rather obnoxious conservitive WASP American, around 22years old... all of which had been talking about how they hate the French. I had to remind them that both French and English had been imperialists, and back in Joan of Arc's day, The Kingdom of Scotland was allied with the French .

  • The French at the time had been fighting off English imperialism during the 100 years war. The Scots had recently overthrew English rule and reinstaled their own royal house. As for our Irish ancestors, They would continue to grow food for, and be cannon fodder for, England's blood thirsty army.

  • Yep, you are correct on all points. Once again, England was trying to take over the world.

    I love the French people.

The only things I don't love about France was when it held the Papacy hostage in Avignon, and their colonialist policies towards Africa (they had them in North America too, but were far kinder to Native Americans and blacks than either the English or Spanish were. And they were a lot nicer to the Irish immigrants in Quebec than the Anglo-Nativists in New York were.).

  • Great stuff man.
