We heard a fight near, by the time we got there I saw 2 vervets pulling a baby monkey in pieces. It looked like there was a nursing mama dead, so I thought that perhaps the female was going to take the infant, (she was not nursing) and the male wasn't going to have it. The female was holding on to the little girl's head, and the male pulled her in half. She lived for a few minutes, but they dropped her and ran when they saw us. Monkey babies usually don't make it to adults in nature.
