I believe the original recording was performed by DreemerNJ in either slow motion, or he assigned the button layout on the keyboard so that to perform it, you had to type a simple word rather than the intuitive equivalent.
I've heard about this infinite, but I heard a different story about how it was discovered. From the rumors I was told, one of the members of Team xODSx discovered it while he was in a pub in the UK with a buddy on the umk3 arcade cabinet and decided to take that idea to the home systems. Now apparently one of the newest members of xODSx is able to perform that infinite online, don't know how true that is. Just what I've been told in the past by people.
What year are you talking? The infinite theory has been known as far back as the 90s, no later than 1999, but was never actually performed until 2003.
My sticks are still at Summoning's, we've both been busy and I haven't been able to pick them up, he lives about a half hour away. As for the tournament, it will be done with brackets, double elimination, pay out is 1st 2nd and 3rd places, and the total depends on number of entrants and the entry fee itself, which most like will be $5. We'll be playing on a PC using Windows 7 on a new version of MAME. All USB controller types are welcome, and encouraged because converter lag can be an issue.
este combo es mas dificil que todos pero la hija de puta esa es una culiada es mi personaje favorito del umk3 ademas de reptile y otros por aparte pero como puta se hace el puto combo...
OMG it is possible. I've heard of this didn't dreemerNJ make this known? He was the only person who could even do this for a while. For anyone that doesn't know you just HP and immediatly flight cancel then Repeat. Now lets all go rip our hair out while we try to imitate this. I've heard just what he said virtually impossible for a human to pull it off in a match, the NJguy must of been an android with a built in mortal kombat arcade machine inside lol. It could happen...
Dreemer discovered it on his own sometime before out first combo video was made, and Lex from Chicago brought it up to me in conversation saying that it was a legit infinite and that he could get about 3 volleys. Dreemer decided to get it capped for a video.
No matter who came up wit that the pure sickness of that infinite is undeniable. Too bad you we need an extra thumb on each hand to actually make it useful.
I've never seen more than 2, and that was by me. It's pretty much impossible on gamepad, I can't see the dexterity being there. It's easiest on a keyboard because you can hit the buttons faster than you can on a stick or gamepad, or even layout the buttons in a way that it's like typing a word over and over in order to just perform it.
Thats actually pretty sweet never thought about remappin my keyboard when i was tryin a specific combo, that could make shit a lot easier in some situations.
how do you do combo it

I think they said it was discovered at the pub, 3 or 6 months after the game's initial release.
MRSANSPOWER 2 years ago
If it was discovered in 1995 or so they didn't release it, I'm gonna say it sounds fishy to say the least.
EWAShock 2 years ago
Well that's ODS for you

Yeah, I really don't know who they are but I'm gonna have to call bullshit.

1 Question Shock,
Why cant any one do this in a match?
DetroitBalln313 3 years ago
The coordination is beyond a remotely acceptable level.
EWAShock 3 years ago
does this required any type of slowdown ??
mikeelman 3 years ago
It's not required but it won't happen probably otherwise.

For some reason playing on a keyboard just isn't fun for me. Don't ask me why though...
Nice combo!
skateblind007 3 years ago
Very impressive although I had no idea this couldn't be done on a controller, lol. 5/5
chronicville 3 years ago
I just don't know how anyone could hit the buttons fast enough on a gamepad to pull it off that many times.
