Great idea, spoilt for me by that ghastly awful tacky music!! Yeuk! Seriously though, what do you do if you have a large hunting dog with the ability to swim a kilometre across a large lake in pursuit of ducks? Could he get into the house? Would have been better if more constructional detail was on the video. For buoyancy, I found a site where someone used several polystyrene sheets (styrofoam). Is this a practical option?

Great video. I gave my 30 year old daughter 6 ducks for Easter and she has now brought them back to me to put on our pond. I to have 2 4year old labs and the male really makes the ducks life miseable. So we decided to build a floating duck condo, very similar to yours. I am unsure how to float it. How did you float yours or is it anchered. Thanks

What we did to protect our ducks was build the floating house. We have food for them all around the pond, so they are not so interested in our garden. If you want some tips about the floating house, tell me and I will send it to you. Thanks for your coment.
Did you get the plans for the duck house? I sent it 3 times by your mother's e-mail but it came back, so I don't know if you got it.
