Hello tm - The City of Toronto is having terrible problems with gangs imported from Jamacia. A few points: The slave trade didn't start until the 1600s. Slavery was unofficially in effect since the 1560s or thereabouts, but not when the Europeans first arrived in America.
I don't think Joseph implied that Native Americans built the country as it currently stands - although their cooperation was instrumental - but rather, they are the only true natives of the country.
America is a nation of immigrants. Just because some are illegal doesn't mean they have nothing to offer.

I agree. The solution to our problems is simple. We need to make it easier for them to get some rights and pay taxes, think of all the extra tax money. However, if they cannot pass a drug test, are involved in ANY criminal activity, or do not want to follow laws and pay taxes they should be deported ... along with any Americans that also fit that profile. =)
