Loved sledge hammer. Dude we share the exact sentiments! By the way, if you liked Peter Gabriel, go to the music store and listen to 'passion, the last temptation of christ'.It's ironic 'cause I'm an anti-theist, but the album is beautiful! Almost world music-like, like deep forest.
Metallica is what made me start to play my guitars. Learned all their songs off by heart. Master of puppets is still the most tiring song to play for me. All that down-picking.
awesome! you show, how fine music can be promoted these days without mtv, commerce and and any of that stuff. I got so much great musical input during the last year without even owning a tv or listiening to the radio (except for the local underground- station).
More people should make substantial efforts like you on youtube. Thanks dude and yeah, I would love to see your collage about the last decade!
Exile on main st is one of my favorite Stones albums. Love Jimi, especially the Band of Gypsies. Chicago II is one of my favorite albums. Earth Wind and Fire... Delfonics, Yes, The Who, The Kinks.... I seriously could go on for weeks. I'm just trying to jam pack as many bands and their info in a short 10 min vid while working at a full time job, so the quickest and easiest way to do this is a slide show format.
LOL... I met Flea a very long time ago when they were playing in little bars. Pretty cool guy. Iron Maiden was my Metallica. And talk about bass, most of their songs were written by Steve Harrison who wrote the bass lines first. But I also liked Geddy Lee as the bass for Rush.
Ahha! Sledgehammer, I remember a while back that one best music video of all time... from some source,(I really cant remember) and you are NOT alone with the liking of Genesis, I still love watching the land of confusion music video.
It was nice to hear so many classics again, thanks.
metallica singlehandedly changed radio and the general publics perception of music here in norway..at first the radio didnt play hardcore metal daytime in fear that lil old ladies might get scared..everything changed after metallica..the radio stopped being all "correct"..like with the beatles, when it became ok for men not to cut their hair..
why do the majority of these videos have terrible ratings? i think these are really interesting and great

When I found out The Police were just a trio, my jaw hit the floor and I officially became a fan.

Being a violin player, my life changed when I found Metallica too, weird as it sounds.
Funny you mention Flea; I learned from Les Claypool. Weird how we find these things. Blood Sugar Sex Magik was insane.

Another great video from Eddy Goombah. Even though my musical background is quite different from yours, i think this is worth another 5 stars.
