@SOSTacoJohnson D'ya think Blur fully understood the symbolism of saying 'the future's been sold' whilst wearing The Clockwork Orange one eye thing? - Kubrick was quite conspiracy minded after all.
@TheSladerr Me too. I first heard it in VH1. I was a blur fan and then i saw a video called The Universal and then it came into my mind ''Hey VH1 los 60 mejores song". And if this is your first time you listen to Blur, you should listen more of them. They are a great band.
@darthsud No you're not, if you scroll down you'll see that I previously commented about it, although I think that the band over-emphasised the very mild similarities, and with less subtlety than with the music video for The Hives' "Walk Idiot Walk", which since you're interested in A Clockwork Orange I have a feeling you'll love, as the lead is such a striking young Malcom Mcdowell and Mick Jagger hybrid it's unreal; If I was given the opportunity to body swap that's who I'd be.

No, that's "Junktown" by Faster Than Flash, one of his side-projects. It's here on youtube. I got it on vinyl from some English movie soundtrack. Cool song too.
This song is brilliant and one of the only ones I like of the Great Escape album (the only blur album I never really liked). The video however is amazing and I think it's up there with the vid for coffee & tv. I think the tower block part was filmed in London's Nightingale Estate in Hackney and all the blocks bar one have been blown down.
additionally, I love how British Gas uses the song for thier family-friendly adverts, when the video references maybe one of the most un-family-friendly films of all time.
@AlejandroLR1995 You're apologizing for Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, The Black Keys, MGMT, OK Go, The Strokes, The xx, and Two Door Cinema Club, among countless others... really?

@MsAlexis4444 U know, the problem is that 30 years' ago music is still listen. Today's music in 30 years won't be listen. 30 years ago people "changed" and "marked" people who listen it, nowadays not:S

@MikeTheSaintable I'm referring to the music of my generation. All those artists you mentioned are from the past decade. AS FOR THE STATE OF RAP NOW. It sucks. There was the misunderstanding there, so I'll give you that.

@AlejandroLR1995 You're right. I find most people of our generation very dumb, vain, and plastic - this is reflected in the tasteless, manufactured music they listen to - but I think the main reason for the complete turdification of the music scene is due to the absence of Top of the Pops and the presence of the X-factor. @TheMightyKawama Maybe your right !....but ARE the rich really happy? they seem to have everything......if you have nothing to strive for life must get pretty boring . Rather be the poor man enjoying the climb, then the fat man sat on his high pedestal who will find it harder when he falls. "Don't watch enjoy the climb " : )
Oh God, I need stop but I just can't do it... Help me.. No, let me be happy! Why don't you want me to be happy? God, I have to go to work, take me out of this computer but remember that I've always been a good girl...

I think this pretty much sums up the future, the rich live in luxury while everyone else has to watch.
